For whatever reason this problem does not occur in DoD:S. I have tried all the fixes that I know of, the Microsoft Hotfix, the AMD Dual Core Driver, setting the affinity manually, etc and none of them work. My system is:
3800X2 @ 2.4Ghz (CCBWE 0541 really sucks...)
EPoX 9NPA+ Ultra
eVGA 7800GT w/ NVSilencer @ 510/1.20 w/ 81.98 Forceware
2 x 1gb GSkill Value @ 166Mhz
Hitachi 7K250 160GB 7,200RPM
FSP 450W
Now any other game runs fine, but CS:S stutters and eventually freezes. If setting the affinity manually doesn't fix this, I have no idea what will other than disabling dual core in the BIOS which doesn't seem to be an option on this board and I have the latest BIOS. Anyone have any idea what to do?
