Problems with G7 mouse

I bought a Logitech G7 mouse a while ago, and ever sicne I got it, it will sporadically stop responding. If I wait a while or move it around it will eventually kick back in, but its (slightly) annoying every time it happens.

Its not the battery and I can't imagine its the receivers location (place directly on my desktop)

Anyone else experience this?

No problems here. There were some newer drivers for the G7 (I think) did you install those?

Otherwise I'm not sure, sorry.

Possibly the reciever is too close to the mouse... this has happened to my friends G7.

Well my friends mouse reciever and mouse were at the same level which was the surface of the desk and at the corner of the desk his mouse reciever was there and that was about a foot away from the mouse... and when he put it on the floor the mouse stopped skipping all over the screen such as move mouse from far left to far right slowly, normally or even fast and the mouse would sometimes appear somewhere else. But once he placed the mouse reciever on the floor his problems all stopped.

i am having a similiar problem. however, this only started recently, when i first got the mouse, it was perfect. i am suspecting neighbor's 2.4 ghz phone interference. i also notice that if my mouse and receiver is as close as possible the problem is alleviated slightly, but the further they get, the more frequent the pause.

i am confident that the mouse is losing connectivity to the receiver, because during the freeze if you press the + or - button, you can see it changes the dpi, but only in the default 3 settings, when it "reconnects" to the base, it some times jumps back to the original setting, or you get the more granually + - setting.

unfortunately the whole point of me getting the G7 is to use its wireless capability up to 3 feet, and right now it sux at doing that.

Try these:
-Get the latest drivers
-Place the receiver closer to or further away from the mouse
-Let a battery completely drain before charging it again
-If your batteries are on a 2 hour charge, try the 10 hour
-Move it away from any devices that might cause interference (cordless phones, cell phones, microwaves, radios, etc.)
-If you're using the mouse on a glossy surface (especially glass) try another surface. Use a piece of paper as a surface just to test it
-Try cleaning the pads on the bottom of the mouse with alcohol and a soft cloth or paper towel

no problems here, i have black one now. i use to have the greenish one, and that thing gave me all sorts of problems. The left and right tilt would work sometimes and the right mouse button was sticky. had it replaced by logitech for free and everything is just golden.

Should of got a G5, that's what happens when you get wireless mise, they loose signal.

Bump, I've been having this same problem with mine. Homerboy, did you have any luck finding a solution to this problem?
