Problems with Logitech Quickcam Express

hi.

I have Logitech Quickcam Express and i cant get it to work properly. I have winXP, and i've downloaded the setup files that support XP. when i'm almost done with my installation, the window where i can modify my camera focus, it freezes and i have to press ctrl-alt-del. then, when i try to open up the camera program its dead slow, and freezes after a few moments. every time. plz help.

Ok I only have two suggestion, I am running the same thing and had the same problem but now I do not.

1. Go into the directory for the program. Click on show details with the folder view. Find the exe file, right click and go into the properties
once here click on the tab at the top that says compatability. Read on this tab and choose campatability with windows 2000/ME/98.
Close this then try to use the program once more, if this does not correct the problem then go to step two.

2. Go to intel web page and try downloading the file for XP once more.I had problems with the file itself, and in the end ended up
having them send me a CD. I bought it and it was not that much, kept me from going out and buying another camera. Now all works fine.....
