for no apparent reason it will lock up in win me and no ctrl+alt+del to get out, just have to hit reset or the power button on the back. When I start to boot up half the time it says there are no hard drives but always sees the cds. If I turn it off in back and let it sit about 5 mins sometimes it comes up ok or I gotta do that two or three times. *edit* oh when I go into the bios half the time it will not auto detect my hard drives. the wife is saying VIRUS VIRUS but that is her answer to most things that make no sense including how billy made two terms in office. *end edit*
I used the pencil to unlock it so I could drop the multiplier and up the fsb. the temp as reported by the VIA hardware monitor shows it is never hotter than 123 (might of hit 125 once) I have rebooted to see what the bios says the heat is and it is about 3 to 5 degrees hotter. so worst case scenerio is I hit as high as 135???
This was working and the most stable system I ever put up till about three days ago.
