I am having a problem with my work network and hoping some of you can help me out.
Here is my first problem: I am a contractor working on a military installation. They have told me that they will not provide internet access. Also I cannot have a true wireless network. They are fine with the use of 3G/4G aircards though. But No hotspots.
Here is what I have. I am using a Pantech UML290 Verizon wireless 3G/4G aircard for internet access. It is hooked USB of my laptop. I have used ICS to share the internet through the ethernet connection to a Netgear RP614v4 wired router via the LAN ports. I have turned off DHCP on the router and let ICS do all the DHCP work. There are 4-6 other laptops and a networked printer hooked to the "switch". We use OpenVPN to connect to our corporate offices for shared folder access. I can VPN in fine. The other users when they VPN have spotty connections and can only Read files. No Write access. Their laptops can VPN fine at their houses, just not on my makeshift network
What options do I have to get everyone full access? I thought about a router that can use USB aircards, but all I could find were wireless ones.
