Problems with sweating at work.

I sweat a lot at work and my back gets wet and it's embarrassing.

I sit at a desk 95% of the day on a computer. Is their some sort of chair cooler I can get or perhaps a small fan at my desk might help.
Any ideas?

This, unless you have some kind of medical problem or the office is 90+ degrees I don't understand how you would be sweating when all you are doing is sitting.

Are you in an office? Cubicle?

If it's particularly hot, I find taking off my shoes usually works to cool down. Have access to ice? Drinking lots of cold water always helps. If the office itself is hot, the fan will help.

I sweat at work, it's always hot as balls (especially the transition from winter to spring, they wait as long as possible to get the ac going). I have a small fan at the desk that helps.

if your back is sweating and seeping through, chances are you don't have an undershirt on.

i sweat like a pig in general and on my back quite often when doing daily things, but my undershirt will catch it before it goes through to my main shirt.

also, get a fan to put on your desk.

i also tend to take my shoes off when at my desk which helps me feel cooler and more comfortable.

If you take your shoes off like some have suggested, buy an airwick for your desk as well. I hated it when someone across from me took their sweaty, smelly shoes off. It stank. I turned my desk fan on and whipped out my airwick.

- Try to get a chair with a mesh back so that your back can "breathe".

- As you already suggested, get a small fan at your desk, will make a world of difference.

- Drink lots of ice water/cold water to keep your body cool inside.

I'm nowhere near fat and sweat a bit at work. Near the end of the day the office gets a bit warm. If I sit down after walking around for a while I'll break a sweat.

also, wear an undershirt. if it's really that bad, bring a spare undershirt to work and swap them out half-way through your day.
