price drops
thanks to georgio 9 ...
don't quite understand if i can relate to another forum...
btw this is great b/c i haven't seen a major price drop of either pent4 or athlon for a while... they actually went up on newegg
(it was $128 for 1.6A and $108 for 1800XP retails)

My 1.6A runs all day/night at 2.4GHz. My friend's 1.6A runs at 2.8GHz. You are almost guaranteed 2.13GHz out of the box with factory heatsink&fan. Beyond that may require raising voltage, better cooling, better memory and the right motherboard.

1.6a is the p4 with a northwood core. Runs alot better than the predeccesor(?sp)

Northwood core also has 512k cache vs. old Willie's 256k.
