Professional Call of Duty players?

Just found out on Youtube that there is such a thing as a professional COD player or a COD MLG?

My mind is absolutely blown. I don't think reality even make sense anymore. The last time I play COD on both PC and 360, I score top in every single round. I left cause it became far too easy and went back to counter-strike.

Call of Duty is the single most easiest FPS game ever made and your telling me there is such a thing as a MLG for COD?

Man if only I had knew, I would be the top COD player without a doubt. I don't have time for LOL, DOTA 2, and CSGO because I don't have a team around me or the opportunity to do so, but COD? A game I can win in my sleep.

I don't know to either laugh or cry with how stupid this sound. If Call of Duty can be consider an MLG, what game can't be?

yeah i used to think that too with street fighter, until i actually got into the competitive scene and went to tournaments.

there's a HUGE difference between being good at a game and being an online warrior than being able to make a living off of playing a video game. you simply can't claim you COULD be a pro player because you think you are good at the game, that is just ignorant.

playing a game in your underwear in your mommies basement at 2am and winning is a lot different than playing in front of 100k people watching online and thousands watching in person when thousands of dollars is at stake.

I used to be really good at Quake 3 Arena BITD but I couldn't get a kill on someone like ZeRo4, Fatality, and Makaveli. There's always that next level you need to be at to compete on the tournament level.

I suck at Street Fighter 4, I know this but even if I was good I'm not going to be able to do anything against Justin Wong, Daigo, Luffy, Momochi, PR Balrog, Sako etc etc There's a whole huge list of really good players that quite frankly are in a different universe in that game compared to most players.

The difference between the top say 32 of a tournament and the rest of the field is so far apart, it is unreal. And even then, most of the top players have real jobs or other sources of income in the FGC.

Didn't know where to put it and it doesn't deserve its own thread but the esports league(lmao) is going to start testing players for P.E.Ds. I can't help but laugh because someone taking that won't win instantly at street fighter or Starcraft or any game. It's not like you have to be stronger or faster than another as in track and field or something.
