I really didn't know whether to PM a mod about this (I wouldn't know which one to contact...) or post a message about it, but I hope y'all don't mind that I chose the more 'conspicuous' option. Besides, I'd like this deleted after it's taken care of anyway, so I won't be in your way for long...
I've got two issues that I'd like taken care of regarding my profile/signature:
1. For some reason it says I am located in Nicaragua, which I am not. While I am sure it's a beautiful place to live (...), I live in the Netherlands and I'd like that to be known. I don't know how I ended up with Nicaragua, and I cannot for the life of me remember selecting it myself (I'm a perfectionist and I would certainly have noticed it had I chosen an incorrect location, because I always read through such things 20 times before I press any buttons that update those pages), but I hope some mod can fix it for me because I can't do it myself (courtesy of the special character in my username!).
2. I'd like the link to AnandTech's System Rig page to be removed from my signature. Again, I cannot do this myself because of my username, but I'm sure the AT Mods are willing and helpful guys (& gals?)...?
Now, what I do NOT want is to have the special character removed from my username. Some mod whose name I cannot remember changed it for me, because when I first signed up @ AT Forums I used aakoch as my username. However, seeing how I ALWAYS use aa_koch as my user name at forums and for e-mail adresses and such, that person was kind enough to change it for me. I'd rather be stuck with an incorrect profile than a username that isn't exactly the same as my HeatWare username, something which as forums like AT is of obvious importance. So if it's impossible to change my profile without changing my username, then just let it be and delete this thread. But otherwise... pretty please with a cherry on top?

I had no idea what the "Mark this as the answer" link was all about... sorry 'bout that. But I guess the answer is that I am out of luck, so it's not completely wrong. Either change the profile and the user name at the same time, or neither. Silly mistake by the persons that coded the forum software though, in my opinion. Why can't there be a "special character check" when you first sign up, and then never again once you make it through the gate, so to speak? It doesn't make sense to impose that kind of restriction on users that already signed up long before the rule came into effect.
