Program Windows, Please Help :(

Hey Guys, Im new to these forums, but not to PC's. I recently just upgraded from Me to XP, and I planned on doing a clean install, then something really odd happened. All of a sudden, when I open IE, and some program windows, they open up off my viewable screen. What would cause this to happen? Its really annoying, and I cant fix it. I tryed replacing the shortcuts, that didint work either. Its basically only with IE, but it happens with some other programs as well. Thx for the help in advance.

Some programs remember their last window position. Did you have your resolution set higher at one point of even run multimonitor and then turn one of those off? You can usually fix this by moving the window onto the actual display and then close the app so it remembers it's new position. Most windows in this state you can move back to the visible screen by pressing ALT-Space, M (this brings up the system menu and then M selects Move) then use the arrow keys to move the window until it's visible. That probably sounds weird but try it once with a normal visible window and it should make more sense

I tryed that Alt-Space M thing, but I couldn't move the IE Window back to the middle of the screen, cuz I have no idea where it is off my screen Poop Is there a way to reset IE settings, or Reset Window Positioning?

try increasing resolution to see if the windows show up.
