I'm in. Isn't this game relatively new? I wonder why they're selling this for such a discount from the normal $50 you see most new games priced at? Microsoft's probably offering such a discount because they're trying to get people to sign up for Xbox Live service which I hear is pretty awesome with this game.

A bit off topic, but has anyone had any luck getting gamer's gift certificates from BB in Southern California? I've been to a few BBs in the LA/OC area and none of them seem to have the cards anymore.

Yeah, it's a pretty quick price drop considering it's a console game. MS announced 3 title price drops to $29.99 when they announced the XBOX price drop. It was Project Gotham Racing 2, Counter-Strike, and Crimson Skies. All three of those were released October-November 2003.

Their strategy is to sell as many games as possible with each system sold.

Has anybody tried using a wheel with PGR2 instead of the standard controller? I bought the USB wheel unit from Compugeek when it was on sale, along with a USB-Xbox adapter and wondered if this would work. I haven't even tried the wheel out yet...

Thanks for reposting DevilsAdvocate. I didn't know why my original thread was locked, and decided not to even inquire as to why or repost . I've been around these forums for a while, and I still don't know how the mods work sometimes.

PGR2 was released around November 18th of 2003, so with this game getting EXCELLENT reviews across the board and being less than 6 months old, $24.99 is a great price.

Target is supposed to be discounting this game as well. According to Videogames.com, Target is the sponsor of the PGR2 national tournament either going on now or starting soon. The article stated that Target would have a special price. This was posted just a couple days ago and well after it was adjusted by MS to $29.99 or whatever the new price is.

I have not been to Target to check the price and the online price has not been adjusted.

Only prob was they shipped it through the MAIL. Took 7 days to get here, but the game is ooooooooh so worth it.
