I have prom tonight

I have everything ready, i have the corsage for her, and i got the matching vest and stuff.

But doesn't anyone have any tips or advice. I have ~3 hours before i have to start getting ready.

Im never really worried about anything, but i am a little nervous/excited about this...its going to be awesome.

For my prom, I got ready like 20 minutes before I had to go pick up my girl. In the end, it's just another dance. Try to make the best of it and have fun. GL

Ok well not to disappoint all you guys but there are a couple things:

A. Were not going to have sex or anything like that. Both Christians, and we are good friends. Sorry.

B. She is only a sophomore. Neither her nor I drink (well not much in my case). I just dont need to be drunk to have a good time. But it is pretty amusing when at a party, my friends are stumbling around

C. While we are eating with a group we aren't going to the dance with that group. I washed and waxed the '03 Accord (EX V6), Armor Alled the leather seats, wiped down the glass. It looks very nice

Lol. Well I have to pick her up at 5:30 for dinner. It takes roughly 30 minutes to get to her house. I dont want to be late. But in reality that is only 30 mins to get a shower, shave, and get into a tux.

It should also be noted that my *wonderful* school decided to have prom on a friday (today) at 8PM. This week AP Exams are taking place and SOLs (Virginia Standards Of Learning) are taking place. My school will not let you skip today, otherwise you wont be allowed into prom. However, to be counted as present for a day of school you just have to be there for half a day. So being a senior i did that, however, she is a Sophomore and her parents didn't think it wise to do that.

It doesnt' sound like you plan on doing anything but sitting at prom and then going home and saying you had been to prom. Prom was ment for one thing, to help the last few guys loose their virginity.

As much as I'm all for the advice others are giving..

Maybe he's one of those that really wants to have a sober good time dancing and hanging with friends. I can respect that. Couldn't handle it myself, but I can respect it.

I never said i dont drink. I said i dont like to get drunk. I also never said that would "sit at prom and then [go] home". I plan on having a fun time at prom, and then its up to her where we go for Afterprom/Party.

Even my friends, who have lost their virginity are perfectly able to accept that i believe sex should wait until your married. If you think that way ninja, then you are basing your opinion off of movies like American Pie.

Now if we could move away from Sex, Drugs, and Alcohol, can anyone give me some all around tips (I am trying to be more than friends with this girl (Yes she knows that i like her). So in otherwords anything to tip the scales in my favor?).

Man, I think back to prom and they all sucked except my senior one!
Just have fun and enjoy the time you guys have together, it's supposed to be fun, not serious. Don't get in a drunken fight or stupor, puking on her 200 dollar dress is not cool (but I see you guys don't really drink so you should be good). Stay out late, have fun, and enjoy the beautiful (hopefully) woman you have on your arm. And don't be nervous or afraid, 10 years from now you won't remember how crappy you really danced but you will remember the overall atmosphere so try to make it a good one!

Serious tips in that case, but I'm assuming you already know most of these:

1) Always open every door for her (entering and exiting).
2) Look at her eyes when she is speaking (listen and respond)
3) Don't lie to her
4) DO NOT - ditch her to do something with your friends on prom night... even if it is for 15 minutes
5) Make sure she is enjoying herself
6) Dance with her.. no matter how foolish you look
7) Kiss her at the end of the date - don't puss out - this is important, even if it is just a soft kiss on the lips
