Cliffs: 18yr old goes in for boob impants, comes out in body bag.

Fake, real, whatever, while I may have glanced more often at the girl coming into the room with the big boobs, I've never in my life decided to date or stop dating someone because of their chest size, and I've been with flat as a board to "gt off i cnt breth undr hre!"

Ladies, all 4 of you reading this, stop the butchery. I only need big fake ones on my strippers.

well... she could have died having her wisdom teeth out just the same b/c she had a reaction to the anesthesia.

You're sensationalizing this story when you shouldn't be. This girl died from a reaction to the anesthesia used, which means that she may well have died during any kind of surgery. Also, you make it sound like she was getting an enlargement, whereas the article says:

Kuleba was undergoing surgery to correct asymmetrical breasts and an inverted areola, Stanziale said.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me for her to want to do that.

Aren't there preliminary tests they run to determine if the patient is "allergic" to the anesthesia?

Yeah, it's pretty worthless. I personally have a thing for small breasts, so I tend to gravitate towards A's and B's almost exclusively while often ignoring those with larger chests...which I realize is every bit as superficial and biased as those on the other side. Still, when faced with a choice between death and a larger chest I can't imagine ANYONE could possibly think it's worth it.

What is an inverted areola? I've heard of inverted nipples, but not inverted areolas.

That's what they always put down on the forms. 99% of breasts are asymmetrical. She wanted big boobies.

As to me sensationalizing the story, it's got a deceased hot blond 18 yr old cheerleader, plastic surgery, and boobs. I think it was pretty sensational to begin with. In fact I think it's next week's ep of Nip/Tuck.

And yes she may have died another day getting another surgery, but how many times in your life do you have anasthesia? I've never had it so far. No reason to elect to go under then is my point. The maxim is "where little/no benefit is to be derived, any risk at all is unwarranted." My o is that a regular girl shouldn't tempt fate with unnecessary surgery.

not generally, at least not that I'm aware of. Typically it would come up early in the dosing, so they could catch it and take the proper course of action.
Then again, I've never had a major surgery.

Well... from what the article says she was getting the surgery to correct her symmetry and an inverted areola. Personally I've always been a fan of the 100% natural girls. But I can understand if she had wanted to correct something like this. It just sucks that this terrible thing happened to her.
No one would have even heard of this girl's tragedy if she had died the same way from a appendectomy or some other routine surgery.

Yes, she says so right between wisdom and teeth. Can't you read?

Ok, so maybe incompetance was as big a killer as the tatas:

"According to [family attorney] Stanziale, medics were not called for at least an hour and 40 minutes. "

That sounds like a long time, but I'm not a doctor. Doctor?

I too prefer completely natural, but it's one of those things that is understandable for a procedure. Much like I would have loved to have my sunken chest corrected, would definitely feel better and would be able to actually notice defined pecs (certainly can't now, although I would have them if my chest wasn't fucked up with a 'hole', not to mention my bottom ribs kind of stick out, so even with a gut I can still look malnourished... I have a weird upper body frame). But it certainly would have be expensive and likely not covered as, unless I got some stupid doctor, its not a cause of any health condition that I'm aware of. Seem to have normal lung capacity and a regular heartbeat and blood pressure, which is about the only things a severely sunken chest would have an impact on. Only time I can't breath when working out is when I'm sick, and at that point it felt like exercise-induced asthma, but I never notice anything out of the norm when I run when healthy. Wonder if an inhaler would give any benefit, but I feel fine now. The rest of my body is what is not keeping up when it comes to running. heh

Natural titties > Fake titties no matter how good the surgeon is. Most of the time, the scar under the boobs are nasty, but nothing compares to the horror of areolae that were hot glued back on. *barf*

How to fix crooked boobs:

1. make them both bigger to the point where nobody cares anymore.
2. huh? what were we talking about again?

"She added that almost all women had some degree of breast asymmetry - just one woman (out of 252) who took part in the study had perfectly symmetrical breasts."

It's like when people get nose jobs and they put "deviated septum" down on the forms instead of "giant schnoz reduction"

Board-certified plastic surgeon Stephen Schuster performed the surgery at an outpatient facility in Boca Raton.

Get Surgery done at a hospital, not a crummy outpatient facility!! That way these things can be identified and quickly handled!!!
