Sheesh, Right vs Duty, since Rights are an extension of priviledge given by some authority(Constitution/government/or other)does anyone feel comfortable having the Right to question when that Right is given by the same you might question?
OTOH, a Duty is an extension from oneself. It may be defined from an outward source, but its' exercise and authority extends from the Self out. It is thus a much more reliable method in which to retain Freedom.
That's not to say that questioning authority is not a Right, for it certainly is, but Rights can be taken away. If they were, then only Duty remains, how one defines their "Duty" in such a situation would depend on what they deem important, "Authority" or "Freedom". Methinks the Founding Fathers would choose Duty to Freedom.
