~$200 max, considering a used Weber like this or this. Are there any better options at my price point?

I love my Weber. I have had it for 4 years now with no problems. When and if it ever goes, I'll have another Weber. I have the Genesis. I can't speak of the Spirit in the ad.

I used to kill grills, I'd buy a new grill every 2 years due to part failure and being unable to find replacements, or rust. We use our grill really hard, basically once it stops snowing we grill 4-5 times a week until it starts snowing again. Last time, I bought a Genesis, It's been 3 years and it still looks like the day I bought it.

Avoid Brinkmann. We got one about 9 months ago and the burner channels have already rusted and fallen off. ~$18 each to replace and three are needed. I'm just going to use a long lighter and make this one last a little while longer then we're gonna get a new one.

I can vouch for the Genesis as well. Great grill. I high suggest Weber, especially since it is very easy to find replacement parts for it. If you buy one you will be able to use it for a very long time.

When I was checking out Weber grills, the Genesis models looked good... but the Spirit models looked like cheap flimsy crap. But, the Genesis models were a bit more expensive.

I ended up finding a brand called Huntington through cabelas. Did some reading on them, and they were something of an off shoot that makes the parts for Weber. I ended up buying a Huntington Forge for $50 or so off of the usual price when a deal came up. Have had it for about 2 years now, and have been very happy with it. Gets plenty hot, and the thing is a tank.

It's a bit out of your price range, but the do appear to have a smaller model through cabelas:

Would be worth a look if a cabelas is in your area.

Bought a Weber Silver B with 3 burners in 2000. Still works well!.. only had to replace the gas diffusers(not bad, like $30). Best grill ever!

Lowes has the Ducane Affinity 4200 grill for $349. You can also get a 10% off coupon from the Post Office to make it $315.

Ducane is owned by Weber and is also a high quality grill, made in Weber factories, supported by Weber customer service.

<snob>I'm a charcoal purist</snob>. However, I saw this awesome baby locally for $199 last week:

That way, you could use charcoal (the correct way to cook outdoors) or propane.

I have a charcoal grill already, but it's a $15 model.

I can vouch for the Genesis as well. Great grill. I high suggest Weber, especially since it is very easy to find replacement parts for it. If you buy one you will be able to use it for a very long time.

Maybe I'll look at this one

jlee, at your price point, I think you're best off searching your local Craigslist for anything with decent burners and ease of cleaning. Small tabletop models work quite well unless you're cooking for a group.

That's why there are two Craigslist links in my OP. I'm looking for something big enough to cook for a small crowd.

I did see your links and just wanted to let you know that you will not find any new models, from any manufacturer, as good for the money.

Ah ok, thanks. I sent an email on the Weber Genesis - will keep looking and see what I can find.

I just picked up a 2005 Weber Genesis 3-burner model for about $150. The guy buys broken Weber grills from Hardware stores and puts the working parts together. It looks like it's new. Might have to change the flavorizer bars soon, though. That's it. A good deal can be found.
