Can't get over how boldly shameful this entire event is. We won't get a single responsible comment from Trump about the murder being perpetrated against the Palestenians today. Not one single comment from him or this administration that accurately portrays what is happening. Instead, Netanyahoo's message will be the message that pervades the admin's perspective, Netanyahoo and the rest of the world will continue to observe that the USA is suddenly, against all historical precedent, completely ambivalent to the crimes against the Palestinians and willing to roll over and acquiesce to Israel's requests and messaging on this.

It's difficult to see a starker contrast between propaganda and bold truth in the world today: "partnership for peace" vs murder/apartheid/genocide, than what is going on (has long been going on) in Israel and the Trump admin's sudden, gleeful, acceptance of this reality.

The Ministry of Truth will be working overtime this summer. Can't wait until NK!

WH has now offically blamed the death of Palestinians shot and killed by IDF on Hamas.

What's ironic is that when Syria did this 7 years ago and killed a few protesters, we air dropped in ammo and support for the "rebels"... Setup a base in al-tanf and created a civil war. We called Assad a butcher. And still between the coalition and Israel, we bomb them nearly daily.

When Israel does the same thing and more. They are our greatest ally. Because they are the only democracy in the middle east?

Really?

*rolleyes*

52 dead, 2410 wounded

Remember this is what tajbot wants to do at the Mexico border except with hand grenades. Trump is cool with this.

BTW - Fake news, 1 guy fell on the knife 259602 times and now the mainstream media is making a big deal out of it. Its all lies.

Or is this the start of the STORM?

A real leader would have said we'll move the embassy if you promise to stop using live ammo against people throwing rocks. Or try to at least cut down on the number of illegal settlements. Instead we got nothing except Dump's ego stroked.

Don't forget big money for the GOP from AIPAC's friends.

If the Pals retaliate then Bibi sends in the helicopters & the F-16's. Electricity? Boom! Water treatment? Boom! Sewage disposal? Buh'bye now. Random housing units? Terrarists! Boom!

Oh, and chew off another chunk of the West Bank. For Freedom!

right, I don't mean to suggest that the US has a great history of calling out Israel on their life-long apartheid campaign and war-mongering, but we've often had periods of publicly calling them out when they are acting like assholes (well, as they always are). at least shaming them and pissing them off, even though we tend to invariably cave to anti-US interest groups.

All I am saying is that this current environment is a completely new level, where the current US administration has made us Israel's bitch as their official policy.

I wonder how many of the proud ~60 million Trump voters will volunteer their lives to protect the brave Israelis from the rock-lobbing Palestinians at their gates? Come on guys: Jesus ain't' a'coming until the heads really start piling up.

Man, 100% promise you that the evangelical population in this country is holding prayer circles all over, praying for more and more blood, 100s of beautiful little babies killed, such that Lord Jesus can descend and wipe out the rest of the heathens, then fly over to the US (of course only the US) and claim their heaven-bound souls, as they truly believe he has promised.

To be fair, Trump is getting tons of praise and accolades from a "powerful and important man" in Netanyahu - so he's getting exactly what he wants and desires in return. Other world leaders have figured out how he works (see Korea).

We just need to stop forgetting that Trump isn't there to get things in return for America or Americans, but rather for himself. Then it's fairly clear.

It's sad but I think this is true. He becomes "tough" on people when they aren't a constant narcissistic supply.

Nukes are just deterrence against other nukes, no one will use nukes unless facing their own annihilation. But I believe "so strong" would be like US Military Power vs a country like Iraq, where they would have full no contest domination if conflict erupted and would steam roll that country. I don't believe Israel is there at this point and will ever get there without US support.
Maybe you should read up on some history. There have been, and are at present individuals in government who see the first use of nukes as useful and beneficial. I'm sure this applies to all countries.

From 8 yrs ago. I guess we have different ideas of near future. The perennial boogie man of imminent death.
2010 Article:

Here is what former ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, said in Chicago on Tuesday.

“Negotiations have failed, and so too have sanctions...So we’re at a very unhappy point — a very unhappy point — where unless Israel is prepared to use nuclear weapons against Iran’s program, Iran will have nuclear weapons in the very near future,” he said.

With the internationally non-sanctioned, unpopular opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem today, deaths seem to be climbing by the minute. There were 21 confirmed deaths when I last heard the news about it, maybe 15 minutes ago. It's currently ~37, according to Haaretz and CNN

Who knew that it was going to be this bad? I guess this is the only way to achieve peace, eh?

You understand that you are rationalizing with irrational, incompotent, and insanely stupid religious people over something as stupid as the location of an embassy right?

It's at the point where you're getting to the level of stupidity and letting them beat you with experience, because for some reason you find this to a moving issue.

Less incompetent brains over things as trivially stupid as identification of land - I give zero fucks. The worldwide IQ average went up slightly if anything.

If anything will be the death of this world, it is hands down religious nutbags that let their own human judgement be clouded by incompetence.

You realize that Bibi & the settler faction intend to take it all, don't you? They intend no Peace & never have, never intended for a palestinian state to exist. Perpetual occupation is their answer.

Ok, so then why aren't you chastising the administration for making this move in the first place, as that's literally the same thing? Why aren't you going "you know if those stupid religious idiots hadn't done that, it would't have whipped up these other stupid idiots, and then this third group of idiots wouldn't be killing them"?

Personally, the group that is resorting to full on fucking murder is the biggest idiot and also you know, fucking evil for letting their religious idiocy lead them to do that.

Everyone on Earth. And if it wasn't over this it would be over something else. If you drop a cup of tea in that part of the world some group of religious whack jobs are going to take it as an affront and use it as a justification to attack another group of religious whack jobs that they were going to attack anyway. The mistake is not in building an embassy, it's in the foolishly naive belief that building an embassy has fuck-all to do with anything that happens there. It's been happening for thousands of years before embassies existed.

Weird, seeing as how we had an embassy in Israel and yet, in spite of your insistence that it would, was not triggering this sort of reaction. There simply was no reason whatsoever to change the embassy other than to play into Israel maneuvering to claim that area for itself alone.

What's especially stupid about your post is that you act like Europe (and later the US too) hasn't been deliberately fucking with that region for hundreds of years, not only fully understanding what you said, but doing things intentionally for that reason and/or using it as their reason for doing stupid or evil shit themselves. Building this embassy was deliberately intended to cause such a reaction there. The thing is, it doesn't benefit the US at all (in fact, its pretty much putting a big middle finger with a bullseye for extremists in that region, putting Americans at the embassy in danger), but plays into Israels wants.

One of the books that have been responsible for more deaths than anything else in the world combined? No thanks.

It explains a lot that you are fearful of a of a collection of stories from thousands of years ago. Did it ever occur to you that it is not the act of reading the book that makes these people act the ways they do? You don't think it might have something to do with over 100 years of european colonialism and american imperialism stuffed down their throats?

Oh but wait, it was always like that, right? You were there. You know.

Religion is everywhere. I live in a liberal bastion in southern california and less than 100 yards from my front door is a church steeple. If you are afraid of religious people I advise you to move to antarctica because you are basically surrounded where you are, no matter where that is.
