I just dropped in on this thread from the last time I posted; are you just calling the PS3 a PS2 deluxe as a joke towards the system? If so, everything makes sense, and I don't know why no one has noticed that.

Nope, you're pretty much spot on. As I discussed in the other thread(s), my reason for getting the PS3 had very little for the PS3 part of the package.

So you are mainly going to play ps2 games. If so then you wasted your money ps2 games on the ps3 look worse than when they were played on the ps2.

I got a ps2 fatty for 40 bucks and a 320gb hard drive for 30 so I have a 320gb ps2 for only 70 dollars while you spent 350 for a 60gb ps2.

I'm getting it cause I still have a first gen DVD player so I'm upgrading to a 1080p upscaling dvd player that happens to play ps2 titles.

Lies. The Upscaler was fixed. PS2 games look better on the SP3 now. And as a result of a firmware update, the Upscaler is on the level of high end standaone upscalers.

Hit gamerankings with the top 100 PS2 games and you'll have more than you could ever want to complete. Then just narrow those down by the genres you want.
