Does anyone here mod or know anyone or a group on another forum that does ps2 and xbox modding cheap? I know there are web sites that do it but they are kinda hella expensive. Thanks
Check Craigslist in your area. I got both my Xbox and PS2 modded from guys I found on Craigslist. They usually charge 50 bucks (at least in the SF Bay Area) for a standard Xbox mod and about 70 bucks for a standard PS2 mod. PS2 mods cost a bit more because it takes longer and a lot more wires to solder than the Xbox.
I did mine and my buddie's... You should just do it yourself, it's cheaper... and there are some really good tutorials on xbox-scene.com the hardest part is soldering, and if you don't want to do that, most chips come with a solderless method... you could also consider softmod...
I plan on softmodding my xbox (it's on its way). It's supposed to be very easy.

Xbox media center is supposed to be really good. Better than other network media players that cost twice as much as a used xbox and the price of the necessary accessories. Plus you get to use an Xbox and still use Xbox live if you want.
