Although the ps2 currently has more games than the xbox, I believe the xbox is on track to have just as many. I own an xbox and love it! The ps2 is a great console but I just prefer xbox. I can't use the ps2 controller without hurting myself for some reason Anyway, I can't wait for Elder Scrolls III and Project Ego on Xbox. The are 2 rpg's that will change everything Anyway, get which one has the games you want, that's what they are for after all.

Personally I went XBOX because I wanted the networking and my brother got one so we can play head to head....and Halo Online is cool even though I bought mine before that was possible.

Xbox has some really cool games and is the same price as PS2 for newer hardware, network adaptor and a hard drive....

I would say go Xbox. but then again I am slightly biased

I don't think it's fair comparing the two consoles just yet, for the PS2 has a larger library than the Xbox. Now, just wait until Xbox STEALS all of those greater Ps2 games and start your judgement from there on out.

I chose Xbox and couldn't be happier. To me, the limitations that the PS2 has (basically I can't stand to look at sh1t textures, and I want an online gaming setup that will rock, not one that is unorganized and going to cost me and probably have only a few titles that support it).

I'm very VERY happy with the Xbox. Games liked Amped, Halo, PGR and DOA3 just kick @ss, and of course I have the best version of Madden football, which is important to me.

Man, you are a GREAT example of someone posting that doesn't know SQUAT about what he is talking about! Going online is FREE and you have EVERYTHING ready to go right out the box when you bring home your nice new XBox.

XBox. My XBox has built in 10/100 ethernet support which allows me to play Halo and Tony Hawk 2x online. Once microsoft has their network online there will be thousands of people playing the XBox online.

Yea, and Microsoft doesn't support it either? Do they? Ah yea, thought so!! To fully play MS games on-line against people from around the world you will need to hook up to one of there services. So be prepared to dish out 10-20 dollars in monthly fees. :disgust:

You will never have to use Microsoft's Zone to play XBox games online. Any XBox game that supports System Link will work with the GameSpy Tunnel and the XBox Gateway.

I personally went PS2 and couldn't be happier. Besides the controller (i mean come on, it feels like your holding a loaf of bread), i have nothing against XBOX, there are just more games on the PS2 right now that I just gotta play that aren't out for or won't be coming to XBOX. Of all 3 that are out now, the XBOX will prolly be the last one I buy, because once Metroid Prime come out for the Cube, It WILL be mine!!

i would get an xbox....it will have some of the great games of ps2 eventually (namely MGS2 and GTA3) and it also has alot of cool games of its own, plus it looks like the xbox will have a brighter future from now on out with good game support

people may say well the xbox has built in ethernet,a gf3 and all that means exactly squat.consoles are about content.the latest ps2 games look great,and are a joy to play.
the broadband online console gaming to say the least is in its fledgling stages.
U can say xbox is getting this game and that game...when?Why wait when u can play them now?
ive said all along,xbox has potential...but for now.the safe and the best bet is the ps2.
