PS2/XBox/Gamecube newbie question

Hi!
Was wondering if all 3 consoles use normal DVDs and if you can download games off the internet and burn them on your computer using a DVD-RW and then put them in the console.

I'll answer the DVD part. PS2 can play DVD's out of the box, the media is DVD (not sure if it is dual layer or not), xbox you need the DVD playback kit to play DVDs, the media is DVD R9. Gamecube uses smaller discs and therefore can not handle DVD's. As far as burning games you have dl'ed,, this is illegal. It's obvious you are not talking about backing up games you already own. Don't ask how to break the law in a public forum.
