so much for Sony saying the stock would be there thru the holidays
It's still nearly 3 weeks before Christmas...

I hate shopping closer to Christmas its a damn pain and I haven't seen a single system for sale anywhere yet.
I figured they would be available by now, hell i can get a Xbox one from a couple places right now
Yeah the PS4 is simply in demand more right now. It's what people want. The momentum can definitely change in MS' favor but right now the PS4 is a more desirable purchase. Put 100 of each on a typical store shelf the PS4 is going to disappear first.Well, not to start a console war, but I've been getting the impression that the PS4 is in higher demand. I had a very difficult time getting a PS4 the day after release and I encountered a lot of competition. For the Xbone, it was MUCH easier. Several buddies were also able to go out 3 - 4 days later and pick one up at their first stop.
This could be explained by MS releasing the Xbone in greater numbers, but a number of factors (sales and participation figures of cross-platform games being a significant one) leads me to believe that may not be the case. Could me wrong, though.

It isn't hurting. It's undeniable the PS4 has superior performance, but it lacks the Kinect. If the Kinect turns out to be as cool as MS wants it to be, then for me it would be a wash; basically the same thing. Except the PS4 is still cheaper by a hundred bucks. It has to be the price difference that's making the demand so high for the ps4 I called every store within 20 miles and no one has anything nor do they know when they will

Assassains Creed and COD but I think I'm going to return COD. Honestly, I might return all of it (except for AC since its opened) because I feel like there are no good games right now and I paid $550 for AC black flag bundle

lol my buddy got a ps4 last week and i emailed him today asking him what games he has for it, trying to sell him my killzone and this is what he said.
after owning it for a few weeks now and completing knack and not wanting to finish killzone, i somewhat agree with him. bman if you are in MD let me know, i know where you can find a ps4 at price!
Except people are tired of gimmicks. Wii motion controls are a dead horse and original Kinect sucked. I predict Kinect 360 sales was a fluke like the Wii. It was just the next fashionable look at me and my cool toy to have for the casual couch potato to proudly display in their living room, just like the Wii before it. Once that wears off and those people jump to the next iPad or whatever iTrendy device, its over.
Anyone I know with a Kinect only used it to demo Fruit Ninja to people who never saw Kinect before, after that it just sat under a foot of dust.
The problem with the casual target market everyone panders to so much is that they aren't dedicated and loyal, they will jump ship to whatever the next flavor of the month "in" thing is without a second thought.
