YMMV, Meijer mperks texted me with 10% off total general merchandise Sat 11/25. 20% off one item Sunday and Monday. Might be another avenue if you are striking out at Target.

Super salt.

Still don't have any games for my PS4P. Debating if I want to get them ASAP by buying used at GameStop (and knowing I'll get complete copies, if I try), or roll the dice and wait on shipping from Best Buy (maybe getting generic boxes) to save $5.

Also went and got the green XB1S tonight to replace the Halo 5 one I had. Got it from Best Buy to get the blue controller free. Still not sure if I'll stick with it, but the white console is SO UGLY. The choice of Gears 4 and BF1 is the real toss-up there, because even this crappy green is better than the white.

Also wanted to pick up Dying Light Enhanced from GameStop, but GS and other shit screwed me over and caused it to sell out before I could go by for it. They also sold out online for XB1, meaning I have to either get it for PS4 in-town, drive 30 minutes to another city to get the XB1 version, or try to do something like order it from Amazon, where's it's temporarily out of stock--meaning IDK when/if I would ever get it.

I think I'm going to head over a town to try for it on XB1 tomorrow. At the same time, I'll probably get the $10 Ratchet & Clank. Still on the fence about setting up the new TV. Supposed to have an electrician come swap out the outlets sometime in the not-distant future, so IDK where/if I can plug everything in right now in the first place (TV, PS4P, XB1S).

Last thing, what's the deal with the DS4 controllers? I see they got a refresh, is that only for the black models? I tried to check other colors at GS and BB, but they were all the supposed model number of the controllers without the updated stuff. I was going to try for a blue one, but if it's outdated, I don't care to pay the same price for inferior hardware, just because of aesthetics.

Not sure on other colors but I know that there are a lot of older models floating around still for the controllers. They may only be available in black.

I took advantage of the PSN deal and got the battlefield 1 & titanfall 2 deluxe bundle for $75. I'm not home at the moment, I'm in NYC so I won't be able to play either of them until next week. Ratchet & Clank is one of the better looking titles with a pro update too so that is an instant recommendation from me at that price, even at the regular $20 price. Infamous really looks fantastic in hdr too.

The ps4 pro comes with a newish type of controller. It has a light strip right on top of the touchpad. Other than that I think the vibration feedback is a little stronger.

I can't remember if I saw ratchet and clank on sale at best buy. I should have picked it up. I do have hitman which got a upgrade patch downloading now. I also have a bunch of other games I have not played in months that probably will also get some sort of patch.

Mafia 2, Bloodborne, and a few others were on sale too yesterday for around $30 or so. I didn't find titanfall 2 at best buy but if I get that it will most likely be on PC.

Must say uncharted 4 looks great in HDR switching it off and on in game you can tell the difference in brightness and color. Also, last of us is a great game if you haven't played it yet. I believe it also got a pro update so I will most likely play that again.

Those games were all priced better elsewhere. R&C is $10 at GameStop. Bloodborne is $15 at BB. Just Mafia is $30 at BB, and those prices are all still going today.

Also note that it's B2G1 on used games at both BB and GS. So, for example, I'll probably order The Show, Bloodborne, and something else in the $15 used range (which will be $13.50 with GCU) and have those 3 shipped, then pick up R&C new for $10 at GameStop when I head there for Dying Light Enhanced for XB1. I just need to find a third exclusive worth trying, as there aren't many that interest me on PS4 right now.

Nice, I didn't know about GameStop having cheaper prices for ratchet and clank. Think I'll go there and try to pick it up.

I would say uncharted 4 but that's probably not on sale. Infamous second son and the free game add on they have out as part of a psn plus subscriber are also good titles.

Uncharted 4 was on-sale for $30 at Newegg, but it shows as sold out right now.

Got home not long ago, ran to GameStop in another town for Dying Light and got Ratchet & Clank like I planned. Still don't know whether I'll get my other PS4 games from Best Buy for less, or go to GameStop to get them today (rather than the middle of next week) and get to use my trade credit, but for an extra $5 or so.

I grabbed ratchet and clank new for 10 bucks. It looks great on my tv, definitely a fun game. Hitman also got a patch upgrade and it too plays and looks much better.

LOL I'm in the exact opposite situation: I picked up The Last of Us for $10 and Bloodborne for $15 yesterday but I still haven't decided if I'm buying the Pro or the Slim. I'm going to wait until I see what Final Fantasy XV looks like on the Pro at 1080p when the big Pro patch I have been reading about releases next month. I'll probably buy that instead of waiting for it to come to PC, and if it's able to do a pretty steady 60 fps I'll probably grab the Pro. If not I'll get the Slim.

The hdmi switches that work he says are the HDMI 2x1 and 3x1 switches. They seem to have a few lower specs than the 4x2 models listed but anyway he said they are working fine.

Now that I've got my stuff (mostly) and have an idea of what I'm doing, did he mention anything about good/bad brands on these things? I'd probably go 2x1 (PS4 and XB1). If the price gap to go 3x1 (to add an HTPC later) is negligible, maybe I look there as well. I'll be fishing about for them for a bit regardless.

I just wanted to mention that yesterday my LG TV received a update (via the smart tv hub) and it solved my 4k connection problems using HDCP 2.2 with my PS4 Pro.

Thank You LG! I was thinking this could be months.

On my tv I had to enable the enhanced option under each HDMI connection that was being used. Initially the ps4 said it only supported 2k resolution now it shows 2k/4k under video output information.

Yep that enabled the hdmi port to accept 10 and 12bit color signals.

Having a very hard time finding the CUH-ZCT2 controller which is the new model. I need to replace my glacier white controller which is getting sticky triggers so I figured I could trade it in and get the new one but Gamestop didn't have them and had no idea when or if they would since they are marked differently but from what they could tell they don't get them if they have a bunch of black ones in stock still. Since it's not a special color they may not receive them until a restock. I also can't tell which one is the new one on their website since the model number isn't listed.

I had asked this at best buy this weekend. They said that the old controllers will work fine with the pro as there are no differences. But the new one does have a light on the touch bar.

Also makes you wonder if people with regular ps4 would end up with a pro controller one day.

I know the old ones work but there are two differences with the new one that they didn't tell you. First the analog sticks are supposed to use different rubber that lasts longer. Second they can function as a wired controller without Bluetooth. What this means is when you plug it in, the controller functions as a wired controller shutting off the wireless connection and has reduced input lag as a result. This may or may not be important but for me, I want the newest version.

Yea I do need them to have better rubber along the analog sticks, my last one is worn out pretty badly. I would also want the latest one too if I get a second one.

I'll be giving my old system to my brother and it sucks about the controller being worn out.

Yeah - This was only needed to enable HDR on my TV. Didn't do anything else.

Prior to this TV update LG just released, my TV would be all black screen with choppy audio if set to anything but HDCP 1.4. Now HDCP 2.2 works fine and all the smart apps now work.

I got the new pro console. I have an issue with my controller. It is so easy to click R3 while aiming. Is this normal or should I contact support?

I'm not sure what game you are playing but for aiming you should not need to click anything, I don't see how it could happen unless you have to press R3 to aim? That never happens to me, sounds strange.

It is possible you have a bad controller with a very weak r3 resistance. I've never heard of that, mine is pretty firm even after thousands of hours on my white one.

PSA... Sony is giving PS4 Pro owners $10 PSN credit. I just received mine. Voucher expires end of this year. That just means you must redeem it and add it to your wallet by then. Once it's in your wallet, you can spend it whenever. It doesn't expire. Thanks SONY! Let's get back to those patches. It looks like when this forum went through a bubu a few weeks ago my post got deleted about two more PS4 Pro enhanced games I had and tried. Here's more:

Assassin's Creed Syndicate.. was only $8 @ Target, but the patch is a royal mess. Artifacts everywhere. Higher than 1080p resolution, but still 30FPS. I wish it was 60FPS @ 1080 instead. I'm sure another patch will roll out.

Return to Arkham: Arkham City. Digital Foundry says unlocked and higher frame rate @1080p, same graphics fidelity. This should be the default for PS4 patches.

XCOM 2. They released another patch post September, but I still don't see any blantant improvements. If anything perhaps the GUI is rendering at a higher resolution. Similar to OverWatch. OverWatch's GUIs are at 4k, but downsampled back down to 1080p. However XCOM2 is laggy and textures just seem too low to benefit @ 4K. I'd prefer they get this game to at least 30FPS. It sure seems lower. It's that bad.

DarkSiders WarMastered. I played both the Xbox One and PS4 4K version. This is a 2010 game with 2006ish textures. Some of the main character models do have higher resolution textures, but low res dominates. The XB1 and PS4 4K are more similar than different. Yes, you can see more detail in the distance and geometry is finer at 4k, unfortunately the too many of the game's assets themselves are just too low in resolution to benefit. I was actually more impressed by the XB1 version that it's very, very close to the PS4 4K version. The PS4 4k didn't slowdown during demanding boss battles where additional enemies are thrown in. However this is a new release and I'm sure they'll patch it on the XB1 to avoid it. I did HONESTLY enjoy it when it slowed down. It did not skip frames, the game slowed down allowing me to better win.

Watched two UHD BluRay on xbox1. 1st time watched UHD on my home TV. I have watched on other's. Unfortuantely I wasn't close enough in relation to touch their TV remote to properly adjust the settings and turn off the junk processing. Regardless, 4K is NOT necessary. Even at 65", calibrated and me sitting 6 feet away from my own TV. The two movies, Creed, the Revenant. In order to be wowed the camera itself must be clearly focused and lenses capable of resolving 4K. However, just the fact that I can tell when the camera is focused and not focused and that your home display can be a good monitor for camera quality tells you of how good 4K can be and also how unnecessary it is for movie content at living room TV screen sizes. Additionally, both movies were unreadable by the PS4. So no... unlike previously reported you cannot pop any UHD bluray into any bluray player and get a playback at 1080p.

Also, this isn't 2006 anymore either where it was easier to rent newly released blurays at your local BlockBuster. It's 2016. Netflix, RedBox don't yet rent UHD blurays but 3d-blurayrental does at a decent price of $8 for 2 movies or games per month. Highly recommend since they also have new PS4/XBOX1 games.

I haven't received a $10 credit yet.

For Xcom, I was hoping the load times would get much better with the update and the PS Pro. Not so much. They are still way too long, especially trying to load mid-mission.
