Wow that's surprising. Figured he'd get like 50k or something at most. Typically cops pretty much get away with anything, even murder.
Oh, the cops got away with it. Did you think the cops themselves actually pay out any of the settlement? HAHAHAHAHA!!!! YOU pay it, taxpayer. The cops don't pay anything. They didn't get jail time. They didn't get parole. They didn't get convicted of anything. They weren't charged with any crime. They weren't even FIRED.
Wrap your mind around this: Their coworkers/bosses were all like "well, I know your expired warrant was rejected by a doctor on ethical grounds, so you went to a county that the expired warrant isn't even valid in so that you could find a doctor who would do unethical things...and I know that you had a guy anally raped with a finger a few times and x-rayed him a few times and gave him enemas and stuff (all against his will). Although every single time produced negative anal-drug results, you just kept going and going and going. And I know every single thing you did is all super evil and wrong, but what the hell. Keep your jobs! We want you on the force as honored, trusted, and noble cops."
What consequence happened to these cops to prevent them from ever doing something so heinous again? What will ever deter these guys from doing evil that isn't as heinous as this? Expect more evil from these particular cops in the near future. Expect them to get away with it.
