yea this may be, however (and I know this probably isn't saying much) he did win the court case against regarding stealing the ticket. Someone (probably the plaintiff) still had hard feelings and knocked him off.

So true! I won the lottery once and all kinds of bad things started to happen, like my house burned down, my mom broke her leg, and ended up in a plane crash on a mysterious island with monsters and these Others. We were hunted by the others and like all kinds of weird stuff happened. we finally got rescued but then I kept seeing dead people and we had to go back, but when we went back, it was like in the past and crazy!

so not worth it!

The first thing you do is invest in a new name and identity. Then you cash the ticket under the old name and identity. Then switch personas, then move. Then switch identities again and then move again. Do that for a year and 5 or 6 switches down the road you'll be unfindable. And a little plastic surgery along the way wouldn't hurt.

There's really more to the story than what CNN is reporting. What the Sheriff's office believes is that a woman who befriended him had him killed so she could take all his money. The murder had nothing to do with the lawsuit.

I've been following this story for months because it happened near my hometown.

or just shoot the first 3 people that come to your house looking for money. "they ran straight for me, waving that kitchen knife around like they were going to kill me!"

Thats why if I win, I would like it to be a nice sized amount, but not so much that anyone who even remotely knew me at some point in my life starts acting like they are my best friends to try to get some.

Just buy an abandoned missile silo from the US government. Bonus points if it has the retractable doors still in place. Hire a landscaper to hide the door and points of entry, invite the landscaper inside, kill him (you know, so that knowledge of your location stays secret), entomb him in some catacombs or something, and enjoy the quiet.
