shocked that the cash option is 70% of the annuity amount.
used to be 1/2.
and would expect it to be less than 1/2 given the longer payout period which inflates the $$$.

In all honesty.... does anyone pick their numbers? I dont care what lucky numbers you have... like you said, birthdays are limited to 31 - though you could do last 2 of birth-year... Either way, way too complicated and a downright waste of time. I always just do a quick pick when I'm stupid enough to pay the stupid tax.

They estimate around 30% of players pick their numbers. And, unrelated to that completely, about 70% of winners are random computer picked numbers.

How "random" the picks are should hold no real relation to the chosen numbers right? I ask because I believe they still pick the numbers in an automated machine process with number balls and shit.
