I've noticed more F-bombs this season than all prior seasons combined. Not sure if it's editing or what.

I'd like to see the two remaining chefs get to use the sous chefs from their own restaurants. Live or die with the people you hired and trained rather than getting hosed by a losing chef with no real interest in the outcome screwing up a dish.

agreed. it was totally anti-climactic.

didn't like the new format about 5 minutes in. something about the editing and voice overs just felt low quality and cheap as well. besides trying too hard to be iron cheffy and it wasn't workin.

i prefer 3 chefs in the finale, cook whatever you want to cook, just for the judges - and yes, at least have your main sous chef with you even if they still bring back old competitors.

Other then Lizzie the two guys and Kristen were the top cooks it seemed.

I dunno why the that Asian girl was there. CJ, I can maybe understand, but he's made too many dubious choices/mistakes in the past. If Stefan is taking orders, he's top notch, plus he's great with desserts (...we didn't get there, though).

There were plenty of chefs in the middle of the pack that were probably far more technically skilled/practiced than those two (again, Stefan seems like a fine choice).

Frankly, I questioned Kristen's choice of Bacon McMustache.

The "Asian girl" was there because she worked under David Myers in Los Angeles and just opened a well-received new restaurant there. She's talented, no doubt.

Glad to see Kristen win. If she hadn't been saddled with Josie (How did she even get on the show?) in that one episode she likely never would have been eliminated in the first place.

On a somewhat related note, I met Fabio at a Food & Wine event a few weeks back. He was really nice guy, very personable.

you know she was with salman rushdie for awhile. her new dude is old as well. i recently read an interview with rushdie where padma came up. he basically said she was unbelievably beautiful, a total self-absorbed prima donna priss, but he loved her and still does.

i watched it last night and i agree 100% on the format. i was not a fan at all and probably my least favorite episode of the season. you knew with like 20 minutes left who was going to win. the commercial break at the end was 100% pointless. i hope it's getting negative feedback in general so they don't go this route again.

and wtf with chicken wings in the top chef finale? really? was surprised to see brook do that.

i liked all 3 chefs and would have been happy with any of them winning to be honest.
