Yes, they should be banned. That's not a personal attack on them, that's just setting an age limit for the forums. That way they wouldn't be able to ask dumb questions that people their age commonly ask.

I am not trolling and I'm not trying to cause a flame fest. I'm only stating my view that the forum would be a better place without the youngsters, and that they should be prevented from posting until they turn a certain age. The opposition are the people who are trying to turn this into a flamefest. After all, I said that they shouldn't post, I didn't say that they should all die in a fire, like they're saying to me.

Let's get this thread back on course and keep it civil.

hmm for some reason i really think Anandtech is the wrong place asking for young people to get banned. Considering the age of the people that started it.

Going by age will not work. Take yourself as a example. While you are 29 you are still immature. Here you are saying anyone 20 or so should be banned.

I know a few 20 year olds that have done more in there life then you have. Going by age will backfire. Eventually they will want a limit to age of posters to keep down post count.

Personally as someone who has done a lot in a short time. I enjoy being able to give advice and hopefully guide some in the right direction.

I figured this is a better way to go about it. If we allowed them to post stupid questions and then we personally blasted them, that would just offend them individually. My post isn't aimed at one particular person, so I'm not putting anyone down personally. I'm not going to call a kid a moron just because he asked a typical question that a high schooler would ask. That just personally offends people.
But I think if we stop the kids from asking the dumb questions in the first place, it would make the forum a better place.
