Holy shit. A Republican voted yes.
Edit: Seems to be a mistake. Go figure.
There was one R who voted for the original impeachment resolution.
Fitzpatrick of Bucks co, PA, days after the phila suburban county went heavily blue in the 2019 local races.
I wonder if it was him again... Some drama there
The war is for the votes of the American people and a prolonged impeachment trial will only reduce enthusiasm to remove these traitors from office.
That's silly. McConnell wants it to be over and he the one who puts the stake in the heart of impeachment and he and his mates will have praises sung.
Why do you want to help them? The Dems retain control, can have additional testimony, and court cases resolved. They retain the upper hand or take a beating just like a martyr.
Don't complain when you want to give away the only way of not losing. Trump goes down in history as the only President not acquited and rightly so.
What a fucking brave woman, citing present on articles of impeachment, something that’s happened two other Times in our history.
I just had a hard time understanding why so many Democrats would want to jeopardize their political futures, so I said to myself, this cannot be, those people are nuts. Nah, they wouldn't really do this. I guess this is really going to play out to the stupid end. (in the end they will look stupid)
You mean our trained killing machines? Previously we had a military with an oath and everything. Now we have trained killers, war crimes are lauded, and those in the upper ranks who still want a professional military are removed.Would you feel this great about it if our military members were so cavalier about disregarding the oath they take on enlistment?
Nancy just said, "up yours baby"
Does this even matter? When it goes to the house we all know how it's going to go. Trump will still be POTUS.
My concern is he will now have the backing of many Americans who dislike Washington. Trump will now play the victim, and we all know he's very good at playing this role.
You really believe that? He'll have the backing from the same people he's always had backing from. Even if they came out in record numbers it wouldn't be enough to overcome an energized anti trump populace which already consisted of 9 million more voters than trump has.
You really believe that?
This forum is nothing more than an echo chamber.
WTF.
And who says she isn't Putin's useful idiot...
"I done fucked up again"...
Merry Impeachmas!
Oh to be a fly in Donny's bedroom tonight.
Two U.S. Republican lawmakers on Wednesday opposed the impeachment of President Donald Trump with remarks that alluded to the Biblical account of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, causing the phrase “Trump to Jesus” to trend on Twitter.
“When Jesus was falsely accused of treason, Pontius Pilate gave Jesus the opportunity to face his accusers,” Representative Barry Loudermilk of Georgia said on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, saying Jesus received a fairer trial than Trump, who has been accused of abusing his power and obstructing Congress.
“During that sham trial, Pontius Pilate afforded more rights to Jesus than Democrats have afforded this president in this process,” the lawmaker added.
