an investigation into what?

A fake server that is already known to not ever have existed?

Do you think an 8th fake investigation into fake Hillary involvement in Bengazi is also warranted? It's the exact same legitimacy as what you think is warranted here, if you're keeping count.

I never mentioned Hillary not brought up her server. Stop projecting.

So Blackangst complains about all the investigations of Trump by Dems and posts a long list of them in order to try and back up his argument. Only to accidentally support the Dems because Trump has already publicly admitted to the first three accusations.

I mean come on. If Trump had a valid accusation against him and investigations keep on turning up more and more inappropriate or just outright illegal actions then it makes complete sense to continue investigations on new allegations.

In fact has any serious accusation been shown as false yet? I genuinely can't think of a major allegation that hasn't been completely validated or, at the very least, if it hasn't been proven then it's been supported by additional evidence since.

Complain? Not really. I think these public hearings are great! Its fun to watch! My complaint is the Dems lack of balls to bring it up for a vote since we already have plenty of evidence already.

Holy shit if you actually think this.

You think I cam up with this theory on my own?

In the words of Democrat Al Green:

Green spoke for more than two minutes and said: "I'm concerned that if we don't impeach this president, he will get reelected. If we don't impeach him, he will say he has been vindicated. He will say the Democrats had an overwhelming majority in the House and they didn't take up impeachment. He will say that we have a constitutional duty to do it if it was there and we didn’t. He will say that he has been vindicated.

In other words, we cant beat him the normal way, so we have to impeach. Pretty funny IMHO.

I never said they were unfounded. What I said they should have plenty of evidence to go to a vote. Why havent they?

Because they want to make as strong a case as possible before they do, both from the perspective of possibly getting Republican votes and from the perspective of making votes against impeachment and conviction as costly as possible for Republicans because you want to lay out just how high the mountain of corruption they are defending is.

If you think the Democrats aren’t going to vote on one or more articles of impeachment on Trump you are frankly delusional.

Catching up on cable news yesterday reaffirmed my belief that Nicolle Wallace is a freaking MILF. O_0

Oh, and Trump is super corrupt and guilty... but, yeah, that woman is hot, and she'll literally call bullshit on live TV.

So, are you pro or anti investigations? Because you seem to go back and forth on that issue mattering on who it is being investigated. You seem to think that Hunter Biden needs to be investigated, but think that there is no reason to investigate Trump? That they should just jump to a conclusion, because why again?

You are being blatantly dishonest in pretending not to understand the problem. The wide variety of evidence is already enough to justify impeachment. Unfortunately the Republicans have decided to oppose all investigations of the president no matter what the evidence is. When the party in control of the Senate declares that they will oppose impeachment no matter what evidence is presented to them then you are forced to keep investigating until the evidence overwhelms their deceptions.

Sure Trump should have been removed already. Yes we've already got enough evidence to do it several times over for various things. But doing it and failing just means he can falsely claim he was vindicated and the Republican's corruption is rewarded with yet more power so the country suffers even more than it already has.

Ive never said Trump shouldnt be investigated.....

edit: heres a quote from me almost a year ago regarding Mueller:

Saying it doesnt make it so.

edit: I dont think the majority of the right supports this investigation as Ive said I do several times. Do they?

Why do you care so much about a vote?

I suspect it is an attempt to delegitimize the investigation by implying it hasn't yielded sufficient grounds for impeachment because they haven't impeached him yet. Yes, this is a nonsensical argument.

Don't worry though blackangst, if an impeachment vote is what you really want you'll get it! Probably before the end of the year.

I suspect that too, but I want to hear his reasoning so I can dissect it. I also suspect it's because the Republican base really really wants this to go away, and the longer it goes on the more evidence will be presented proving that he did indeed do what he's being accused of doing. That dam can't hold back forever.

Then WTF has been going on with all the other investigations for the last 2 years? lol
That was an FBI investigation into the 2016 campaign interference, that spun into an obstruction of justice presentation. Try to keep up.

Why is it so important to you that there's a vote?

Youre putting words into my mouth. I never said I want a vote. I stated I dont know what the Democrats need more than what theyve collected after dozens of investigations over the last 3 years. Which goes back to my theory on why they havent voted.

Because before you put it to a vote you lay out all of your evidence. This is common sense.

Your theory on why they haven't voted is nonsensical. Can I trust you'll come back to this thread or make a new one that lays out why you were so wrong when they vote on (and pass) one or more articles of impeachment? Seriously, if you think they aren't going to do that absent some unexpected and dramatic revelation you're living in a fantasy world.

Same reason everyone else does. Get this over with so maybe congress can do what they were hired to do.
Part of congress' job is oversight of the executive branch. They're literally doing what they were hired to do, per the constitution.

Would you be calling for a vote so vociferously if this were an investigation into Hillary Clinton requesting dirt on a Republican candidate for the 2020 election?

Really? Are you saying that you are NOT calling for a vote?

Is this the same way that Trump DIDN'T ask for dirt on Biden?

Maybe you havent read the whole thread. Im not calling for a vote or not calling for a vote. Im confused why the Democrats, after more than a dozen investigations over 3 years, dont have enough to vote on. WTF are they waiting for?

I wasnt talking about the FBI investigations. I was referring to the 12 congressional investigations. Try to keep up.

Why do you keep asking questions that have already been answered? You are going to be so, so confused when the vote you claim will never happen happens repeatedly for multiple articles.

Actually, I doubt you will be confused as you know it's coming as well as we do you're just doing this dance for some weird reason, most likely out of antipathy for Democrats.
