Can you imagine a future where the GOP wins this one and Trump takes 2020?
yes
Can you imagine a future where the GOP wins this one and Trump takes 2020?
an investigation into what?
A fake server that is already known to not ever have existed?
Do you think an 8th fake investigation into fake Hillary involvement in Bengazi is also warranted? It's the exact same legitimacy as what you think is warranted here, if you're keeping count.
So Blackangst complains about all the investigations of Trump by Dems and posts a long list of them in order to try and back up his argument. Only to accidentally support the Dems because Trump has already publicly admitted to the first three accusations.
I mean come on. If Trump had a valid accusation against him and investigations keep on turning up more and more inappropriate or just outright illegal actions then it makes complete sense to continue investigations on new allegations.
In fact has any serious accusation been shown as false yet? I genuinely can't think of a major allegation that hasn't been completely validated or, at the very least, if it hasn't been proven then it's been supported by additional evidence since.
Holy shit if you actually think this.
I never said they were unfounded. What I said they should have plenty of evidence to go to a vote. Why havent they?
How about this one. Where hunter was already investigated and they found no wrong doing
I know it doesn’t fit your narrative.
Complain? Not really. I think these public hearings are great! Its fun to watch! My complaint is the Dems lack of balls to bring it up for a vote since we already have plenty of evidence already.
You are being blatantly dishonest in pretending not to understand the problem. The wide variety of evidence is already enough to justify impeachment. Unfortunately the Republicans have decided to oppose all investigations of the president no matter what the evidence is. When the party in control of the Senate declares that they will oppose impeachment no matter what evidence is presented to them then you are forced to keep investigating until the evidence overwhelms their deceptions.Complain? So, are you pro or anti investigations? Because you seem to go back and forth on that issue mattering on who it is being investigated. You seem to think that Hunter Biden needs to be investigated, but think that there is no reason to investigate Trump? That they should just jump to a conclusion, because why again?
Saying it doesnt make it so.
edit: I dont think the majority of the right supports this investigation as Ive said I do several times. Do they?
Calling for a snap impeachment vote is exactly that. This IS the investigation.Ive never said Trump shouldnt be investigated.....
Why do you care so much about a vote?Complain? Not really. I think these public hearings are great! Its fun to watch! My complaint is the Dems lack of balls to bring it up for a vote since we already have plenty of evidence already.

I suspect that too, but I want to hear his reasoning so I can dissect it. I also suspect it's because the Republican base really really wants this to go away, and the longer it goes on the more evidence will be presented proving that he did indeed do what he's being accused of doing. That dam can't hold back forever.I suspect it is an attempt to delegitimize the investigation by implying it hasn't yielded sufficient grounds for impeachment because they haven't impeached him yet. Yes, this is a nonsensical argument.
Don't worry though blackangst, if an impeachment vote is what you really want you'll get it! Probably before the end of the year.
That was an FBI investigation into the 2016 campaign interference, that spun into an obstruction of justice presentation. Try to keep up.Then WTF has been going on with all the other investigations for the last 2 years? lol

Youre putting words into my mouth. I never said I want a vote. I stated I dont know what the Democrats need more than what theyve collected after dozens of investigations over the last 3 years. Which goes back to my theory on why they havent voted.
Part of congress' job is oversight of the executive branch. They're literally doing what they were hired to do, per the constitution.Same reason everyone else does. Get this over with so maybe congress can do what they were hired to do.

Really? Are you saying that you are NOT calling for a vote?I never said I want a vote.
Really? Are you saying that you are NOT calling for a vote?
Is this the same way that Trump DIDN'T ask for dirt on Biden?
That was an FBI investigation into the 2016 campaign interference, that spun into an obstruction of justice presentation. Try to keep up.
Why is it so important to you that there's a vote?
Maybe you havent read the whole thread. Im not calling for a vote or not calling for a vote. Im confused why the Democrats, after more than a dozen investigations over 3 years, dont have enough to vote on. WTF are they waiting for?
It's taken so long because Trump keeps denying the subpoenaed/requested documents and keeps appealing to higher courts and keeps people from testifying. He's obstructing the investigations. Then WTF has been going on with all the other investigations for the last 2 years? lol
