Here's the thing. They knew there was a risk of public seeing something actually easy to digest among the testimony and documents that were withheld. They knew there was a chance of him losing the base or else they wouldn't have pulled out all the stops to prevent that. And the insane thing is that they'd still have Pence, so it's the precedent they needed to prevent, because once one R politician is actually held accountable, it'd just be a matter of minutes before they all were.

Bolton does have a certain gravitas in conservative circles. By the time his book comes out he'll be a dirty stinking rat, a RINO and all kinds of mean nasty ugly things. A turncoat & a traitor to the cause, whatever that is.

Irony's kinda lost on you, isn't it?

Not at all, you're just choosing to ignore fascism and this little concept we call 'cause and effect.'

You might also want to brush up on what the oath of office is.

You are trying to reason with someone who was trying to argue that Jews can't be white or racist so Steven Miller (yes that Steven Miller) can't be an advocate of racist policies. Of course it was just one long dog whistle instead of having the balls to directly state his position.

but it does equal impeachable (which doesn't require illegal or criminal...but you probably knew that, right?)

but it's great when all are true, because they are in this case. go figure

If you had read the thread before posting you would have seen that I am having a discussion about Rand Paul and outing the whistleblowers name.

And quibbling about it, as if it weren't a shamefully chickenshit thing for a Senator to do. To quote Joseph Welch- "Have you no sense of decency, sir?"

Silly of me to ask, I suppose. At least the GOP quit lecturing the rest of us about their supposedly superior "values".

That's not accurate. He was reportedly paid "up to $50,000" in a single month, not every month.

It's all conspiracy theory slime, anyway, a Trump/GOP specialty. It's a redux of their 2016 methods.
My bad, either figure is nowhere near $500K/month, this type of "pulled shit from the air" is to be expected from Trump-tards, they are so far removed from reality it's beyond comprehension.

Well I wasn't going to say it, but since you brought it up. You are pretty silly about lots of things.

And second I did not make a statement about my feelings on outing the whistleblower. I only pointed out that it wasn't illegal to out him/her as portrayed by many on the forum.

I don't know who the whistleblower is and don't really care. They are irrelevant anyway. Meh

I do however suspect that Adam Schiff and his staff were deeply involved with the whistleblower before he blew his whistle.

True, when you're in it. You came into this thread to finger the whistleblower just to say "Fuck you, Libtards." The rest of your contributions have been along the same lines.
sorry for spoiling your echo chamber.

They're concerned about maybe a small political impact, like Trump loses 1 point among undecided independents and then the next election is close. In no way, shape or form have they ever been worried over "losing the base." Those people either don't know because they're paying attention to sources that don't tell them the facts, or else they know and do not care. Trump can do literally anything, with incontrovertible proof, and they will find a way to excuse it or deny it.

Literally. Anything.

So far as new evidence, it will come out and be made known to the general public. It doesn't have to be part of the impeachment process. That process is foregone and needs to be over with.

sorry for spoiling your echo chamber.
Echo chambers often occur when the opposing voices are unwilling and/or incapable of engaging in honest, intelligent discussion. Maybe if you engaged more than just taunting and namecalling, and being openly hostile to others' interests.. but that's their fault too, isn't it?

There's an extra weight given to people speaking under oath. Whether deserved or not, it matters.

Which is to deflect from Rand Paul's craven immorality, I take it, apparently a common feature of GOP politicians in general & GOP Senators in particular.

Nice bit of conspiracy theorizing about Schiff & the whistleblower. It makes no sense. The whistle blower report went thru all the proper channels to get to Congress, other than the Trump admin trying to block it. And it turned out to be true. GOP DGAF.

I am saying what I have said earlier is that people that say he should be arrested are full of shit as he broke no laws.

He is doing what he believes to be needed as in outing the whistleblower.

I for one don't even think the whistleblower is relevant. They got nothing from him/her... complete waste of time and money.
