The Republicans are actively and openly working to overturn every election they've lost, but then pretend that's what the Democrats are doing whenever the Dems try to something to keep the Republicans' lawlessness and corruption in check.

People like Oilfieldtrash are existing 100% on projection. Because they would try and overturn an election they lost without good cause they assume Democrats are as corrupt as they are. I saw a good comment about that the other day that both parties exist almost entirely on projection. Democrats genuinely care about public policy and functioning government and they project that onto Republicans, assuming Republican arguments are good faith disagreements when they obviously are not. Similarly, Republicans think Democrats secretly are just as corrupt and uninterested in governing as they are so they behave accordingly. This is why Republicans were sure that Obama was weaponizing the federal government against them even though he wasn't, and why they were perfectly willing to do that as soon as they had the chance.
