More like the matter was glossed over, as partisans usually protect their own. Guaranteed that if it looks like Biden is going to be the nominee, no stone will be left unmoved. Impeachment is already being planned. #resist! #neverbiden #joepedophile....sound familiar? lol

This is the kind of politics we have today.

But what evidence do you have that suggests any conflict existed?

SO.....
The republicans on the committee keep bring up HOW WONDERFUL Donald Trump is with the economy and the JOBS JOBS JOBS and thus HOW DARE democrats even consider impeachment.
So, I guess it doesn't matter what a president does or the laws a president breaks as long as the economy is good?
Is that the republicans defense of Donald Trump?
I THINK that is also how Putin operates. Except, Putin also lies about the Russian economy and murders anyone who dare question the word of Putin.
Oh Gee, wouldn't Donald Trump simply LOVE to have that option that Putin enjoys?

But, lets play the game of WHAT IF.....
WHAT IF Donald Trump gets away with his criminal activity against the US Constitution, and then WHAT IF Donald Trump is re-elected in 2020, and then WHAT IF the economy crashes or the jobs go south, will republicans THEN change their attitude?
Will republicans THEN seek to have Donald Trump impeached?
Or, will republicans once again spin into another world of fantasy and illusion.
Would republicans then say IT DOESN'T MATTER what Donald Trump did or how the economy is doing.

As republicans see it, obviously, it doesn't matter how bad a person is or the laws a person breaks including outright murder and rape, it doesn't matter as long as the person in question is in their mind A NICE GUY. And.... in their mind a successful guy in business and in personal finances.
So go ahead, murder your wife, rape your kid but just keep up the good work as an employed successful individual.
Kill you wife, rape you children but DON'T YOU DARE QUESTION THE MOTIVES OF DONALD TRUMP.

I had thought the hearings only proved just how divided America is.
Now I am convinced it better proves just HOW SICK the republican party is.
THANK GOD I am not a republican.

Well, two can play that. Prove it wasn't. As for the rest of your post, I should take the infraction, but I'll save it for another time.

Biden asking Ukraine to fire their anticorruption prosecutor has nothing to do with protecting Hunter our Burisma—in fact it was the OPPOSITE of what Burisma would’ve wanted!!! Their anti corruption prosecutor was protecting Burisma’s founder.

Please read this:

As part of an investigation into money laundering, British officials froze London bank accounts containing $23 million that allegedly belonged to Mr. Zlochevsky.

Britain’s Serious Fraud Office, an independent government agency, specifically forbade Mr. Zlochevksy, as well as Burisma Holdings, the company’s chief legal officer and another company owned by Mr. Zlochevsky, to have any access to the accounts.

But after Ukrainian prosecutors refused to provide documents needed in the investigation, a British court in January ordered the Serious Fraud Office to unfreeze the assets. The refusal by the Ukrainian prosecutor general’s office to cooperate was the target of a stinging attack by the American ambassador to Ukraine, Geoffrey R. Pyatt, who called out Burisma’s owner by name in a speech in September.

“In the case of former Ecology Minister Mykola Zlochevsky, the U.K. authorities had seized $23 million in illicit assets that belonged to the Ukrainian people,” Mr. Pyatt said. Officials at the prosecutor general’s office, he added, were asked by the United Kingdom “to send documents supporting the seizure. Instead they sent letters to Zlochevsky’s attorneys attesting that there was no case against him. As a result, the money was freed by the U.K. court, and shortly thereafter the money was moved to Cyprus.”

Mr. Pyatt went on to call for an investigation into “the misconduct” of the prosecutors who wrote the letters.

Yes, Hunter Biden should’ve never been allowed to take that board seat, or else Joe should’ve recused himself from any involvement with Ukraine. But that is an ethics issue, not a legal one. In this instance, Joe Biden did the right thing, as acknowledged by Democrats and Republicans at the time. He was looking out for OUR best interests, not his own and certainly not his son’s.

The alleged conduct of the Bidens isn't the issue, no matter how desperately the GOP wants to make it that way. Trump's conduct as President is what's at issue, as laid out in the articles of impeachment.

From article 1-

Using the powers of his high office, President Trump solicited the interference of a foreign government, Ukraine, in the 2020 United States Presidential election. He did so through a scheme or course of conduct that included soliciting the Government of Ukraine to publicly announce investigations that would benefit his reelection, harm the election prospects of a political opponent, and influence the 2020 United States Presidential election to his advantage.

From article 2-

In response, without lawful cause or excuse, President Trump directed Executive Branch agencies, offices, and officials not to comply with those subpoenas. President Trump thus interposed the powers of the Presidency against the lawful subpoenas of the House of Representatives, and assumed to himself functions and judgments necessary to the exercise of the "sole Power of Impeachment" vested by the Constitution in the House of Representatives.

It's a short read, concise & to the point. The Party of Law & Order gets to figure out if they'll let him get away with it, or not.

My answer is really off topic, but The economy is being artificially held up by the Feds as they have injecting it with interest rate cuts (which only happens when the economy isn't doing good, or is on the verge of tanking) as well as them just injecting it with 74 billion dollars. Average Credit card debt as increased under Trump. The jobs, and unemployment.. if people actually stopped being spoon fed the numbers, they would see how manipulated the numbers are. Example, November, 266,000 jobs added.... but that includes the 50,000 auto workers who where on strike and went back to work. I am sorry, those jobs where not added, they where already there, and already taken by the union works when they came to an agreement. I didn't see any mention of them being removed from the numbers when they went on strike.. Unemployment has been on the same steady decline for the past 8 years, with an average of 10,000 boomers retiring each day.. that is for sure going to have a huge impact on unemployment and job availability. What I see is Trump taking credit for the foundation of what the previous President put in place and he is riding the shirt tails of that President's doings. (look up graphs and such of the last 12 years of economy, stock market, jobs, unemployment, etc and you will see that he is only continuing what was already happening). Also keep in mind that the Previous President was handed a country that was equivalent to a bag of burning dog dung, and Trump was handed a country that was equivalent to a steak on a golden platter by comparison.

Part of me wants Trump to win the next election, only because the artificial great economy is going to come crashing down, and if a democrat wins, the idiots who can't think for themselves and see reality will blame them, not Trump. IF Trump wins, it will be more difficult to blame the democrats, all though he will try.

About Trump supporters: I will say what I told a relative on Facebook when he started up about how great Trump is: Supporting Trump and what he is doing is like saying that priest are teaching us god's salvation by molesting children.

I still believe the Trump job numbers are faked.
Republicans accused Obama of fudging the numbers.
If anyone could fake the numbers and get away with it, it's Donald Trump.
If the numbers were true and so many were now working, then WHY would Donald Trump need to cut food stamp benefits?
The number needing public assistance should be declining if you believe Donald Trump's employment numbers. Or... its all more of Trump's total BS.

HA HA and HA HA HA
Nadler beat republicans at their own game.
With Nadler postponing the committee vote until tomorrow Friday at 10am and then the ridiculous outrage from republicans it is now obvious what republicans had planned to do. To have Nadler hold the vote tonight then after holding the vote which would easily pass, then republicans and Trump could claim THEY HELD THE VOTE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT.
To play the same card as republicans played when democrats passed Obamacare in the middle of the night then that became the republican talking point and attack on the ACA.
However.... Nadler seen that stunt coming and dodged the play thus making republicans VERY VERY UPSET.
Republican "thought" they could pull the same trick as they pulled with Obamacare by claiming a midnight vote was an illegitimate vote. Or what ever republicans claimed that ACA vote to be.
We now know that was the republican plan all along from how angry and mad Nadler made the republicans.
I have to hand it to the democrats, they have developed a backbone. Finally.
Something I thought I'd never see.
Hey house republicans.... two can play at that game. HEHEHE
No midnight vote, republican plan squashed, and as Trump's Mick Mulvaney once said GET OVER IT.
I love it.... This is great TV.

GD that went long today. Nadler recessed until morning to finish, and the R member went apeshit. Lol

So unfair! We have to work on Friday! Rigged process! Lol.

This is after wasting hours in hours offering up doomed amendments just to be knocked down.

I'll be happy when this is over just to not have to listen to all the whining.

To support that thought, it was just announced today that the first week of December saw a huge increase in unemployment claims, making it the highest number of claims since September of 2017. It increased by over 49 thousand claims. So yea, there appears to be some fudging going on.

"How dare the democrats continue this hearing when more of the American people can watch it!"

Yes, that is literally what the repugnant, ignorant goons in the GOP were yelling about last night.

Open question to GOP supporters: Do you actually think that angrily yelling about things, without ever presenting an actual argument, is a proper way to go through life? If not, then do you actually support GOP House/Senate members?

It's funny because, that's clearly what was on their minds. Not 'yeah it's pretty damned late, let's knock this out in the morning when we're refreshed so that we do good by our constituents'. Nope, it's 'how dare you defy our attempts to make this vote happen in the middle of the night so nobody watches it by making us vote early in the morning where more people might watch it!'

On the plus side, I guess McConnell is at least being honest. On the minus side, it's his complete abrogation of his constitutional responsibilities he's being honest about.

You know, the Senate is supposed to be a jury in these deliberations. Seems a bit peculiar that the Jury is coordinating very closely with the Defense regarding the trial. I wonder how well that'd work out in any other court.

At least the GOP has officially disabused themselves of any responsibility towards upholding their sworn constitutional duties to the country, and to the American people.

So, in the spirit of the holidays: Go Fuck yourselves to High Hell, you GOP rat-fucking bastards!
