Ohh, please may this mean Dublin Dr. Pepper will be for sale soon. I'd kill for a can of that right now.:Q

It's $30 to get a case shipped here, I've done it once, but I can't afford to do it again. At effectively $1.25 a can, it's cheaper to buy the high-end bottled soda like Stewart's.

Just so you guys know, the reason why they say kids under 14 should still eat meat on fridays is because it's not healthy for young children to miss out on nutrition.

This is the same reason that young kids are not supposed to fast on good friday when everyone else is.

I don't really see anything "silly" about it and I'm not even catholic.

They sell the Imperial sugar Dr Peppers at most grocery stores here. I am guessing that is the same thing as the Dublin Dr Peppers.

meat is not prohibited during lent. just the eating of it on fridays for those over the age of 14. every other day of the week you are still free to cook up a steak

If you're under 14 you can eat meat? Man, Catholics are half assed. Not only can you eat meat if you're under 14, but everyone else can still eat fish!

Actually, I believe it used to be that no meat but fish was allowed on all fridays, in order to help the fishing industry.

Could it also be because Jesus and some of his buddies were fishermen?

I thought JC was a carpenter?

It was the whole not eating meat thing on a Friday which is what I considered silly.

Unfortunately, Dublin Dr. Pepper is explicitly not sold elsewhere, that's part of Dublin's agreement with the Dr. Pepper corperation(they basicially split at some point in time). Now, the fact that you're in Texas likely changes things and is why you have it; I for one have never seen a sugar-based Dr. Pepper for sale anywhere in a store no matter where I've been.

I was at the store yesterday and saw a bottle of special grape juice... it must have been really special because it was 9 freakin' dollars.

Imperial sugar DP = Dublin DP, always (unless maybe you're in Europe).

Dublin DP is starting to have a little wider distribution nowadays, it seems like. You can find it now in the Metroplex and some places here in Austin. This is a good thing.

To be fair, every religion has some weird traditions.

Very true. And ANY religion that forces certain eating habits on you is ridiculous.

There are several stores in my area (Ft. Worth, not far at all from the plant Dublin) that sell it, I just drank an 8oz bottle a few days ago. Heck there is a Chicken Express that sells it through the fountian.

Mmm.. Fountian fresh Dublin Dr. Pepper. *drool*

Ok, according to my Jewish friend, Bag N' Save (I think that's a national chain?) is the best place in Omaha to get kosher-for-passover (the correct term) foods. Unfortunately, they didn't have any name-brand soda in that category. I did get a six-pack of Dr. Brown's cream soda, and it is pretty good. Has a lighter texture, not as sticky as regular soda. At $3.69 though, it's more expensive than regular soda.

It's the South Pole that doesn't have ozone.

I still think fake sugar is worse for you than the real stuff.
