Encryption is just one more pain in the ass when a user loses the decryption key and demands immediate data retrieval.
My other pet peeve is home users who turn on the private function in their profiles. (1) it doesn't do much at all to make your files inaccessible to your brother who also has an administrator account, & (2) when the hard drive develops a serious problem you just made this an even greater PITA to recover your precious photos & itunes library.
