hopefully this won't hi-jack the thread, but might be good chance to discuss best options for developing a will. Lawyer versus software developed. And does your state recognize a will that you wrote yourself?
it doesn't seem fitting that after a person's death, all the squabbling and fighting that takes place when others feel the need to start laying claim to items that had belonged to the deceased.
spend some time on a well thought out will, make sure everyone knows how you want it to procede, make sure the executor clearly understands your desires and be sure to give the executor sufficient power of attorney to make their decisions stick.
