PSU manufacture

I tried searching through the forums but I couldn't find out who manufacture aerocool and termaltake psu. Anybody have an idea?

rofl lmao no they don't, TT doesn't make anything of their own.

Enlight has been known to make the lower end TT models, while Sirtec makes the butterflies, etc. Regardless I would stay away from them as there is MUCH better choices in that price range.

A good power supply to get is an Enermax or Antec. I've also had good luck with Sparkle.

ThermalTake and Enlight are both mainly Sirtec - some of their stuff is good and some is not so good, but none is total crap. I'm disappointed that I don't see any certifications prominently displayed on the labels of Aerocool's lower powered PSUs and on the high powered ones there is no file number with the RU (UL) symbol (or any other for that matter). Could be the same shop that makes the junky Ultra brand stuff.

nothin wrong with thermaltake for a cheap psu. at ~$34 the 420watt is not a bad deal.

TT PSU's tend to droop their rails under load. Definitely not recommended PSU's.

I was just looking at thermaltakes 680 watt psu. It only had 15 amps on the 12v rails! Compared to to zippy's 700watt which had 45 amps on it's single rail.

I think case is. PSU is the most important though.

If OP is talking about his "Main Rig", then it will hardly ever put much more than a half-power load on a TT420, so that should be fine - just loafing.

You're making a common mistake. Wattage ratings mean nothing.

It's about the QUALITY, not the QUANTITY.

that wattage has nothing to do with it being a good deal. my experience with 5 (a few enlights) of them and them all running stable is why its a good deal.
