So this. A "resource officer" (school cop) has the students hang around the flagpole during school time and preaches to them.

"About a month ago, at DeKalb West Elementary School in Tennessee, students gathered around the flagpole to pray to their God, as many young Christians across the country did.

But this wasn’t a legal, student-initiated demonstration. This gathering involved staff members, including School Resource Officer Lewis Carrick, who took the microphone and urged the kids to be “an army of God that will stick together and relinquish themselves unto His service.”

Lewis Carrick doesn't understand his job or American religious liberty.

You want to work in a church, go work in a church. This shouldn't be happening in public schools, bible belt or not.

So in an Atlanta Ga suburb this has been going on apparently for a while. A "resource officer" (school cop) has the students hang around the flagpole during school time and preaches to them.

it would most certainly hold no party affiliation. godless christians are abundant.

I suspect that all humans are godless, I KNOW that all Christians are Yahwehless. There is a 0% chance of the God of the Bible actually existing. Seriously the creator of the entire universe decides to wrestle some goat herder in the desert, feels the need to impress Satan by torturing a human, rides into Jerusalem on two asses to fulfill "prophesy" (based on mistranslation), etc...? bitch please.....

I would argue that the concept of that particular God is incoherent in its proposal that it's omniscient and allows free will.

That is a logical impossibility.

The point of my post is that there are philosophical arguments made that are logically incoherent, those are the ones you should be using since that is a direct attack on the philosophical concept "God as we know him exists".

You cannot convince anyone by using the "lack of evidence" or "common sense" ideas, that is simply not possible.

In fact, you can probably not convince anyone by pointing out that THEIR claim is a logically incoherent philosophical claim but you can end their philosophical argument doing that.

And probably lend a great deal of credibility in the eyes of others while doing so since it's an intelligent way of having a discussion.

LoL, that wasn't directed at you. I posted something that in hindsight wasn't very good so I removed it.

I agree 100% that an omnipotent God is logically incoherent. No Christian can define the attributes of their God.

For example, if your God is omnipotent, can he suck his own cock? Can he feel remorse? Can he feel guilt? Can he do evil? If he can't, he is not omnipotent by definition. If he is omniscient, then he cannot have free will BY DEFINITION, all of existence is just movie rerun watching for him. He is powerless to change a damn thing, it was foreordained an infinity in the past.

Laughingly, there are over 100 occurrences of God changing his mind in the Bible.
"So the Lord changed His mind about the harm which He said He would do to His people," (Exodus 32:14, NASB).
Of course being omniscient, he knew an infinity in the past that he would "change his mind". So if he knew that he was going to change his mind, in what sense did he change his mind?
