?? Oh so if the antibiotics are free they don;t have any negative affects.
?!?! WTF? Where did that come from.
Doctors get sample meds from drug companies so they can see how it works for their patients . They dont have an unlimited supply like a pharmacy. There is a paper trail involved in a script, so if there is abuse it can be found.
You said he got free samples, how does that change anything about over use of antibiotics? Free or paid they are still not good to over use. That is what I and others have pointed out here but you keep running off making new claims when I posted med studies that show the over use of antibiotics is hurting us.
And yes the drugs that doctors get for free do have a trail. The rep has to account for them. I use to work in the Pharm industry.
Nobody is arguing that overuse of antibiotics doesn't decrease their efficacy. The point is that you disregard all the benefits of Publix providing no cost antibiotics because you think that there will be some massive stockpiling issue. The only proof you offer that such stockpiling occurs commonly is by citing a FatWallet thread (not a good sample of the general population), except the guy in the thread got his antibiotics via free samples, not a pharmacy. Besides some anecdotal evidence, you have nothing to show that the magnitude of stockpiling (minorly contributing to a problem that is already occurring in the status quo because doctors in general over prescribe antibiotics, which is an issue with the public, not pharmacies) even comes close to outweighing the possible benefit to the 3.6 million uninsured Floridans.
