i like how this has turned into a barry bonds thread instead of a pujols thread.

anyway, i'd love to see pujols break the record or score a triple crown but the baseball season is way too long to be forecasting now. it'd be like saying dmitri young was on pace for 486 homers after he blasted 3 on opening day last year.

in regards to the guy who posted lance berkman's thoughts on increased offense, i never got that because if the pitchers are off roids and the hitters are off roids, wouldnt that basically even out?

One view on that...Steroids are overrated with regard to hitting. With regard to recovery for a pitcher, they can play a much larger role. Therefore, contrary to the average fan and his in depth knowledge of steroids after reading a few CNN articles, they impact pitchers more. Just a theory...
