That reminded me of the HR by Kirk Gibson off of Dennis Eckersly in the 88 World Series.
Oh I agree, I was just commenting that it reminded me of that HR.Originally posted by: BostonRedSox

Except Gibson was hobbled on 2 bad legs and could barely take 3 steps without falling down. I think that was a greater feat, not taking anything away from Pujols.

As a resident of Houston and a huge fan of the Astros, I'm still not sold on the Rockets. Being originally from Utah and a huge Jazz fan, however, I can say the silence reminded me of John Stockton's Game 6 three pointer at the end of the 1997 Western Conference championship against (who else but) Houston.Originally posted by: jalaram
Edit: On a different note, the sudden change from deafening noise to absolute quiet reminded me of Ronde Barber's interception against the Eagles as they were getting close to a touchdown to take the lead in the NFC championship.
Or how about South Bend last weekend after Notre Dame had their hearts ripped out.Originally posted by: SaltBoy

True, true. Don't worry about the Irish, though - they'll get their revenge this week against the might Cougars of BYU!!:laugh:Originally posted by: SP33Demon
