hey this reminds me... my mom spilled paint on the carpet in the dining room and we ended up remodeling the entire main floor after the insurance was said and done... maybe go that way!

haha i like that.. blame it on the dog. or suck it up and call a carpet cleaner to steamvac it for you. unless, of course, you have access to a steamvac through other means (friends, etc).

Yeah, Oxyclean and a steam cleaner do wonders. Trust me. I know from experience. I've saved myself from auto castration several times due ot the wonders of Oxyclean.

i spilled a bottle of black paint on our tna rug in my old apt. those foaming rug cleaners relaly do work

steam cleaners are great.. you cant imagine how much dirt, etc. those things pull out on a otherwise clean carpet.

pour a thick layer of SALT over the stain then douse it with water. Let it soak for several hours - then vacuum it up and bring in the steam cleaner or whatever.

Wine away works on new stains but it's not complete in its removal, good luck though. Club soda is your friend. Oxy clean and spot shot do not work on red wine or berry stains well.
