It's not the best rig I've seen IMO it needs more work but slight stuff

motherboard the 965 chipset is pretty old now and I am sure you can find a better motherboard for around the same price

8800GTX is a nice card but the GTS isn't that far behind you may want to consider saving some cash instead of paying for the top of the line.

I don't know what memory that is as you didn't include any model # or anything to let us know Gskill makes a bunch of DDR2-800

Seagate is always good with the five year warranty but I've heard there 7200.10 drives be rather loud also what is the HD space on that drive? WD SE16 drives are very quiet

everything else looks good happy building.

That motherboard is quiet as good as the DFI board

Yeah I figured I would change the RAM, even though the ram I have on my list is D9 Micron

And the prices on that list are all from Newegg I was going to shop around and find lower prices, ZipZoomFly has the 620HX for $120

The memory I linked to uses Micron D9's that everyone is going crazy over as well.

Why the DS3 over the DFI?

Ok, first things first.
-The 7200.10 drives are fine and are not loud, the post above must not have one. Plus they are probably the best choice right now

-Its a toss up between the DS3 3.3 board or the DFI. I have a ds3 and love it. I would maybe go with the DFI just cause its new and seems to be just as great.

- I would get the Corsair PSU from either the buy.com link above or here , whatever your more comfortable with.

- What resolution do you game at? the GTS should be fine unless you run 1900x1200 then i would suggest the gtx.

- As far as ram I would get either this or this . Both OC very well and can run good latencies. Besides with the new batches of 6600s your not gonna be seeing high fsb unless you run memory divider.

Yeah there is something wrong with having that case on my wish list it is constantly removing it's self and supposedly adding 11 cases
