Pulp Fiction:CE, Jackie Brown:CE, and Dusk 'til Dawn:non-CE $27 at Best Buy

Did a search and didn't find anything, so here goes.

Just went to Best Buy and was planning on buying We Were Soldiers, Pulp Fiction:Collector's Edition and Jackie Brown:Collector's Edition, and found out that Best Buy currently has this offer(for this week) where if you buy Jackie Brown and Pulp Fiction together($15.99 each), you get a $5 instant rebate(from the JB DVD) and also get From Dusk 'til Dawn:NON-CE for FREE!!! That's one classic(Pulp Fiction), one decent B-horror flick(FDTD), and one decent heist movie(JB), all Tarantino if you're a fan, for $27! This is probably the best deal that Best Buy has offered for DVDs since I've been getting DVDs from them(going on 2 years now)

I just came back from the Best Buy in Dublin, CA...they won't give me the deal w/the $5 off coupon if I want the Free DVD. Because the coupon says cannot be combined with any other offer...so it's one or the other. BASTARDS!

spinn, you should go back to the store and try again. the first time i left, i noticed the $5 off, came back, and they honored it. i went back later to buy the movies for my dad, and the lady tried to pull the 'one or the other' bit. i told her they took it earlier, and it even scanned. she checked the ad, doesnt say anything about combining with other offers. she called the manager, and next thing you know, she was re-crediting my card and selling it again to me for $29. so $29 for 3 awesome movies is a good deal, since these movies will prolly retail next week for $20 just for one of those movies. here's my receipt scan...

I got this deal with no problem. I took all three movies up to the register and while I was standing in line, noticed the coupon. Tore it off, gave it to the cashier and she rung it all up. If you get any hassles, I would just call over a manager.

I just went and they gave me the $5 off on Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown but they were out of From Dusk 'til Dawn. They said they weren't giving any rainchecks on that movie either. Instead, they tried to give me Weekend at Bernies for free. How is that even close to a fair trade?

I was actually just expecting the Dusk Til Dawn DVD for free. The CSR at the Best Buy I went to actually took the coupon off the Jackie Brown DVD and took it off for me!!! I guess it's just luck of the draw. Did anyone happen to notice if this is just today or rest of the week?

mostly like for the free FDTD dvd, since each BB has only 20 copies of it.

I picked up Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, and FDTD and they honored the $5 off as well as the free movie. The free movie rung up free and the cashier just typed in the coupon. The FDTD wasthe last copy they had there (unless more were hidden on the shelves instead of at the display).

Went through fine with me too. The 3 dvd's rang up with FDTD $0.00, and then rang in the coupon.

Sweet deal... I got in on this last night. No problems here either, although I did have to ask them to apply the $5 off which they did without question. Total price was about $28.50 with tax.

Thirdfret- I was at the Best Buy in Cambridge, MA too but I must have been there earlier as there were still about 4 copies of FDTD left...

Yep, I mentioned the $5 off to the cashier, and he was somewhat clueless, but he could see that it appeared valid, so he flagged down the first cashier that walked by and she solved the little dilema in about 5 seconds, ripped the coupon of JB and put it in the rebate infeed and I was on my way, awesome deal!

Wow, my first good deal. *Pats own back* I feel so proud. I'm just glad I started this thread before anyone else happened to and also happy to finally contribute to this awesome forum that helps to keep the rest of us in the loop. My last good deal turned out to have a duplicate, so I guess I'm just replying to this b/c I'm glad I finally contributed. Look forward to doing it again!!!

If you guys like movies I would recommended checking out the "DVD Bargains" forum at dvdtalk.com forums. This deal has been posted there for a while now(Although I'm sure some people are glad it was posted here too, not thread crapping). If you haven't done this deal yet, when you get to BestBuy, ask for the "Back to school" pamphlets with coupons in them. They have a BestBuy coupon for $3 off any 2 DVD's regularly priced $9.99 or higher. I was able to get out the door with these three movies for $23.98 + tax because I used both the $5 manufacturers coupon and the $3 BestBuy coupon.
