Bully on xbox 360. I paid full price when it came out, but only managed to play it for 20 minutes before getting bored.

Sorta my house. It's nice for it's age and I enjoy the quiet (I was tired of wearing earplugs every night in apartments to sleep), but not even 2 years later I have to put in $35,000+ of structural repairs into it and find out the seller was a louse.

Netbook. I suppose it could be useful if I ever needed to do basic word processing for 16 hours away from a power source (awesome extended battery), but I need to add on the size/weight of a real keyboard. So it's pretty much been phased out in favor of the iPad.

My musical insturments. Since my ability to see my friend who plays the guitar was mostly eradicated, my insturments have sat mostly collecting dust.

Wii - never really played it after a few months. Definite novelty waste of money there.

Probably a bunch of smaller odds and ends -- games I never played, movies I only watched once, electronics that were never fully realized, etc. Not really "regrets", just more along the lines of "I probably could have spent my money better elsewhere."

Kenwood & Sony high end VCR's that had all the top features that I never used. And then they fail within a year.

3D glasses for my samsung TV. $150 a piece, and while they were neat in the beginning, it got old fast and now they are just collecting dust.

Renewing my contract at the time with Sprint. I should have gone with my gut and gotten on one of those pre-paid phones and waited for the new phones to come out.

Right about now, Falcons NFL season tickets for the 2011 season. It's looking like I might regret that purchase.

Lost Odyssey on 360, bought it shortly after release and have yet to even put it in the XBox.

A beige blazer that to this day I have still never worn yet bought about 5 years ago. I'm not even sure where it is. At the same time being convinced of buying the blue blazer instead of the black sport coat by the salesperson despite knowing I didn't like the blue blazer as much.

I'm Xbox's Bitch.

My Xbox360 from 2007 burned out after the latest software update (increased clock rate) whihc burned out many older updates not capable of dealing with the new heat.

Since I had 3 years Xbox Live, I'm an indentured servant. I bought another Xbox360 in Dec, 2010.....this time from Costco in case anything goes wrong this time.

My car. Sort of. It's a 2008 Honda Fit. Great car, reliable, lots of cargo room for a car its size, fuel efficient (although not as much as I'd like). Pretty rough ride though, very loud on the highway, and it's a base model so it doesn't have cruise control. There are a lot of good things about it and a lot of bad. Luckily my wife's car (2005 Altima V6) covers all of the Fit's weaknesses - very comfortable, plenty of power, all the gadgets, great on the highway. So it's not that big a deal.

All the Macs I bought and sold while I was in college. I kept getting one, liking it for a bit, getting bored, and trading up to something newer and better. Took me years and lots of wasted money for me to finally realize that the problem wasn't the specific computers I was getting, it was that I was using Macs at all. Switched to Windows and I've been happy ever since (and so has my wallet).

Some things I regret selling. Specifically my telescope (bought another just like it last summer) and a 32" LCD TV that would have been really nice to have a few months ago.

A few years ago in Korea I had a few suits made-to-measure @ 400-500 each. Not much compared to having them done here but all of them are pretty slim fitting, not appropriate for the office in semi-rural South. I never wear them.

I just spent almost $1400 on camera equipment to get into photography again. Not much for photography buffs but a small fortune for me. I have to force myself to take at least a few pictures every day.

Haha, agreed. Mine were free with the TV and blu-ray player and the whole bundle was under $1k, but the glasses just collect dust. I've only seen Aliens vs Monsters in 3d because that's what came with the TV. I've considered getting 2 more pairs of glasses so more people can watch but it's like, meh, what's the point?

-Netbook for wife a year ago. Even after I upgraded it with a SSD, it's still too slow and she either uses her work computer or my desktop.
-Terrible timing on a few stock purchases and sales in 2008/2009. Little did I know they would fully recover and then some.
-Regret purchase of Xbox360. I played one game for it, Forza III, and I haven't turned it on in 5 months. Numerous PS3 games. A lot of them were played once or twice, then I got bored and stopped.

I've always wondered who the hell buys that junk.

I've only bought a couple but I've enjoyed everything I've bought. :\

My Mac Mini and my netbook were both purchases that I did not need to make. I'm glad I have them and use both everyday, but I could get by without them just as easily and wish I had the money instead more often than not.
