push vs pull vs push/pull (Update)

As of now the I am doing a pull build. Air is pull hot air outward from the case

5960 at 4.3ghz.

10 runs of realbench h264
All test were made in the same room at the same temperature. I used a heater to maintain a constant temperature for testing. I also have to note, I was able to run 10x h264 stress test on my 5960x @4.3 with only 1.265v.

Note: I made a mistake earlier, one of my fans is on low noise adapter, push actually have no performance increase what so ever.

Since you posted, I'll offer an opinion.

You may need "push-plus-pull" even less (if you ever thought you needed it).

With the "pull" configuration in your first picture -- OR -- with an alternate "push" configuration -- all you need to do is increase case-air-intake and seal off unused vents to pressurize the case. You could then reverse the exhaust fan to intake, build a duct-plate of Lexan or foam-art-board to cover the motherboard and force that intake air through it, and probably have the most optimal cooling overall. You'd only need to build the fan-box-plus-duct-plate to accommodate the two water-block hoses and reasonably simple removal when necessary.

All the pressurized air in the case would be exhausted through your radiator.

Otherwise, given your clock-speed and that X processor, your temperatures certainly look OK. I think they would be . . . better . . .

in his results we hypothesized that its due to push's increased turbulence that is caused by the air blades vs the pull.

To test this it might also be important to do a test 90 days after build. By that point air filters would need to be changed or cleaned. I think cooling off the hard drives is just as important. If you put them up against the side does air move around them?
