<< how far can a 900 T-Bird bew pushed? Im getting a Vantec CCK-6035D also, the POS $15 thing i got is junk and ive killed 2 freaking CPU's with it! Im getting a shim too
I'll be getting one tomorrow casue im upgrading, its not much, i got a cheap new MB with onboard justabout everything that i'll be adding to my network, so im taking the duron 750 @ 855 out of here and throwing in a T-bird 900 >>
Well AcidzT.........tell em waht the Batch stepping of your T-Bird 900 is and I migth be able to help........I can give u a few ideas though.....HONESTLY...i know you'lkl be bale to get it at 1000MHz with a FSB of 133Mhz (7.5x Multiplier and 133MHz FSB) as i have a friends 750 T-Bird at 7.5Multiplier and FSB of 133) 1000MHz chip =) also have a freinds 800 T-Bird at 1000MHz with 133MHz FSB.....BOTH at default voltage.......and they both have ASII and run idle at about 42 Degrees Celcious.....air cooled.......
hell, you might get lucky and be able to run yours at 1.13GHz or even 1.2GHz......both with 133MHz FSB....remember....no matetr what, FSB ALWAYS makes for betetr performance over jumping the multipllier...so right off the bat, pencil in your L1 bridges, than drop the multiplier to 7.5 and raise the FSB to 133...let her post and try to load windows, if she works, than just raise the Multiplier up a notch (with Default voltage) and if she becomes unstable, just crank up the Voltage and keep trying =) I'm sure u already know all this, just givign some input =)
