Hey everyone, i wanted to know what others are getting temp wise on the PWM on the DFI Ultra-d series or sli, all the same. Im not talking about chipset temps here, alot of people get the two confused, i want to know about PWM. At idle mine is about 37C and under load it gets to about 45C and i think its a tad high. Some have reported it in the 50s, but thats usually the case when people have there ram at 3.5V and up. PWM is the area on the right of the cpu where all the heatsinks are, there is no fan on them and i wanted to know what people are getting.

mine run around 40c idle to 50c underload. Trust me your far from to hot. These things are pretty much gauranteed to run up to around 110c-120

I've seen mine up to 48º or so after several hours of Prime... I was far from concerned about any meltdowns happening.

Demo24.....i installed a 520watt modstream by OCZ and my 12v line was horriable, it was at 11.77 and under load was at 11.55, so i put my X-connect psu back in, my 12v line is at 12.03 idle and 11.80 load, whats the deal, i sent it back and im waiting for another one, what do you get?

Most people are telling me its in the 50s, what processor do you have, and are you sure you are telling me the PWM and NOT the chipset. Think having my memory at 2.85V and having a FX-55 has anything to do with it being in the mid 40s? What kind of specs you have?

I guess it depends on the CPU...if you have a weaker cpu, like a 3200 or 3500, then the temp wont be as high as mine, because i have a FX-55, and i have it clocked to 3.0 on air. I was also told by DFI that im good till 100C in the PWM IC area.

well it all depends on how many V's are going to the CPU. thats what its controlling. And its good for well over 100c. Told that by a DFI rep.

as for the PSU. I honestly dunno. Smartguardian I think is wrong on that, cause mine in windows is like 11.77 on the 12v. the others seem to be about the right v level. Though when Im in BIOS the rails are dead on. so I stopped trusting smartguardian to tell me PSU rails
