Ford, GM, Toyota & Mitsubishi have plants here, and Ford/Holden(GM) make and design a lot of their own stuff for Australia (the GTO is an example of our Monaro ), but also the Commodore/Falcon (big aussie sedans), Territory, Adventura, Cross8...

Heh. Yeah, my sister got an '01 Ford Escort when she got her license... at the time I was driving a 1988 Pontiac Grand Prix.

The funny thing about my mom's car though, is that it was the fifth car ordered in the country, and the second car delivered, but it was in the garage for repairs because of stuff going wrong (mostly electrical) and recalls (mostly electrical). Now, MB has offered us to get a new car for a substantial discount, but my dad may consider buying the new S class when we go check it out during the unveling on Friday. Or maybe we get a new E240 with full options this time around, and sports package.
