I wouldn't even spend a year in prison for that. Honestly.

EDIT: Actually, if I could be pretty confident I wouldn't get raped or assaulted I would do a year for that.

You also have to take into account the huge stigma of being falsely convicted of such a crime, _and_ the fact that while serving that sentence you have no way of knowing if you will ever be cleared and released.

That's rather different from agreeing beforehand to go in there for a set time in return for a known return (though the answer is still 'hell, no' in either case).

It's more than just the jail time. Your reputation and name are now tainted, no matter how well they say the records are expunged when you are exonerated. That record, even though it officially is gone, will follow you to the grave.

If you have to go to prison, that's the way to do it. Get filthy rich, get old, then get locked up. You'd probably be in a home anyway.

$6.4 million? Go pound sand. Add a zero after that four, and maybe we'll talk.

If I could pick and choose, maybe. Like if I am in a hooker and blow induced coma from having 6.4 mil, then you can toss me into jail for 23 years.

other.

if i were falsely accused, sentenced and put away for 23 years, that 6.4 mil would probably keep me from killing the people responsible for me losing a third of my life.

if it were a proposal before the fact, hell no.

Hell no. That's a huge portion of your life you'll never get back.

However if you turn it around and I get 6.4million now and have to go to jail when I'm like 60-65 I might consider it.

Totally misread that, voted wrong - thought it said 6 years in jail for $6.4 million. Free gym & regular meals? Sign me up! That's better than being in the military :awe:

Will Louis Scarcella the scumbag be put in general pop?

I would not take 6.4 for 23 years in prison.

You have no idea how depressing and soul destroying prison is. That's alright, you don't have any idea what the military is like either. Don't be so fast to chase money, there is an entire world of things worth more.

Really? I know a handful of people who are out of prison. The only ones who had bad things to say (granted...) were at the high-security ones with the really messed up people in them (even my prison guard buddy has crazy stories from those).

And no, obviously, I wouldn't go to prison for money, but where's the fun in discussion if you can't daydream a little

Sadly, tax payers again get to foot the bill for this. Not only did they have to pay for this guy to live in the system for 23 years, they're having to make up for a few idiots who should be the ones forced to pay.
