Ok... Hmm.
Well, I spent the last two days getting 3 computers connected on a LAN
and sharing a cable modem internet connection. When trying to play
Quake Arena (my kid's a lot better than I am) I was hoping that 2 or even
all 3 of us could all join a multiplayer server and thus all play together.
If we try, only one of us seems to be able to join a server at a time. The
others just countdown and timeout. Is it possible for us to all play Internet
play on the same server, while we share a connection? We can play each
other, locally... but we'd like to play on the Internet with their Uncle, who
is out of town. (I also wanted to watch in Spectator mode, it's a blast watching
my kid).
The LAN is a cable modem hooked into a Linksys Etherfast Cable Router and
then from there, we're all jacked into the Router. Anyone else done this, or know
of a workaround??
(BTW, I love this forum, soooo glad I found it!)
